Rey have been walking for a few minutes in the corridor, that curved for many times. Sometimes she needed to take a staircase up.
For the time to go faster Rey chanted the mantra in her mind. It felt fluid and but powerful: "There is no light Without the dark". Rey was fairly sure that it was Grey Jedi code. It had the same pace as Jedi code and it meant.. "What I read in the mist before.. that was the Sith Code. Throught Victory my chains are broken The Force shall free me.."
Rey wondered how the Sith Code really didn't sound so menacing to make someone kill inocents. "How it really is up to individual to choose his interpretation of the words.. and how evil people can corrupt others more that anything else. Nothing is as black and white as it seems in the beginning."
Rey watched as another archway opened in front of her and she took the steps through it. There was big hall, Rey observed tall tree that stood in the center of it and just then she looked up- there was nothing, there was no roof. It was night and galaxy shone over her as thick black blanket with millions of holes that brought light within. Rey smiled.
The rocky walls around were high enough, so even with the Force Rey couldn't jump over. The tree stretched high above her head and under her feet was sand, that almost looked golden.
Rey walked further in, she stopped next to the tree trunk. The first branches were high enough, unreachable. The trunk was dark brown with wines surrounding it, but the leaves were green and gold. The tree shined in the light of the moon. Rey touched the trunk with the palm of her hand. She swiped the hand over the trunk and walked few steps further. It was gigantic. She had seen large trees before, but this felt the same as first time after Jakku, even if the living tree was quite the opposite of deserted sand planet. It felt as if coming home. Somehow the leaves moved even without the wind. The tree seemed so alive, as if it would want to talk to her. Smile didn't leave Reys face.
She let go of the trunk and moved further, the opening in the wall further in front of her caught her attention and she didn't see the panel on the floor witch she pushed stepping on. There was some kind of mechanical scraping sound and floor moved.
Rey kept the balance and watched as floor that she stood on around her in about distance of 20x20m was separated from room with small horizontal hole in closed perimeter. The shallow hole was connected in each side with the walls of the place. From openings in the walls started to spill some kind of shining liquid and hole in the floor around her filled up with something thick and hot. Rey took small steps closer to the line of the liquid and it turned out to be lava. Bubbling hot lava now surrounded Rey from all sides.
Rey felt as on stage. She slowly spin around. There was no one here, but she felt watched.
"Now or never." Rey looked up to the trees canopy and took a slow breath in. She closed her eyes.
-"Be with me.
Be with me.
Be with me.." Rey let the breath flow steady. She remembered Mazs words from first time they've met. The words she had heard again just recently. It moves through and surrounds every living thing. Close your eyes... Feel it... The light... it's always been there. It will guide you.
It was Reys mantra. The meaning of the Force. The purpose of her heart was to feel it again. Openness and clarity. Passion and Serenity. Light and Darkness. Balance.
-"Be with me."
There was silence and only the breath. And the came the life. Rey opened her eyes. Everything flourished. For so long time she didn't felt it, but now she felt again. Everything in galaxy was alive. Stars up above her head. The breath in her lungs. And the tree in front of her. Its spirit was whispering to her. The Force. She felt it surrounding her and binding everything together.
