Lmao so I've no idea if you can actually get scouted in college or if that's too late but y'all just gonna have to go with it because this is, after all, a fictional story.
"Carol! Carol!" Valkyrie shouted excitedly at her girlfriend as she jumped onto her bed.
"What's up." Carol laughed, gleaming at Valkyrie's energy.
"Coach just told me we've had scouts coming to our past couple of games!"
"Yeah?!" Carol asked as she sat up.
"Yeah! And guess who got scouted?"
"Umm the best player on the whole team maybe. I think she's the captain, I wouldn't know." Carol said jokingly and Valkyrie laughed and frantically nodded her head.
"I did!" Valkyrie shouted as she threw her hands up in the air. Carol threw her arms around Valkyrie and tackled her into a tight hug.
"I'm so proud of you, baby." Carol murmmered into the smaller girl's shirt.
"Thank you, Carol." Valkyrie said as she pulled away. Her eyes glanced at Carol's laptop screen and she noticed the Air Force logo. She looked closer and turned the screen towards her more to read what was written underneath.
"You doing more research?" Valkyrie asked with interest. In the months following the couple's eventful date, Carol had taken an interest in the Air Force again. Valkyrie often found her searching information about it and she couldn't help but smile at how drawn she was to it.
"Yep." Carol grinned. "There's actually an Air Force base that isn't too far from here. It trains new recruits and by the looks of it I could apply - after this year though." She added on the end, knowing she wanted to at least complete the year with Valkyrie.
"So I guess we're both going to be high school drop outs then?" Valkyrie said and Carol giggled.
"Yeah, I guess we are."
