Hate

Carol knew next class would start soon so she dragged her feet in that direction. She had been walking around aimlessly, not knowing where to go all lunch.

Valkyrie rounded a corner and scanned the crowd for Carol. She knew she should give Carol her space but she was worried. The last thing she wanted was for Carol to have a panic attack with her not there to help her. Or if the attack was because of her. Deep down she knew she was overreacting but she didn't want to take any chances.

Em had lost Carol almost instantly after she started following her but she had eyes on her again... and Valkyrie.

Carol almost crashed into a smaller figure infront of her.

"Val?" She asked hopefully but closed her eyes when a pair of lips crashed into her own. She stumbled back and was pinned against a wall.

Carol didn't think. She kissed back desperately without questioning anything. It's Val. It's Val. She told herself without opening her eyes. She tried to focus on the other girls lips and hands that were around her neck but it felt wrong.

As soon as Valkyrie saw it she felt sick. Carol was against a wall kissing Em. No... was all she thought. Em's arms were around her neck and caught up in Carol's long hair. Carol had her arms around Em's waist and was kissing back passionately.

She couldn't watch anymore. Tears formed in her eyes and Valkyrie turned away, not wanting to see another moment of the nightmare.

Carol pulled away to open her eyes only to be met with Em's. She tried to kiss Carol again but she pushed off the wall. A million thoughts swarmed her head.

"I... What?" She was confused. Really confused. "You're not..." Carol couldn't finish the sentence. She couldn't say her name.

Em tried to kiss her again but Carol moved further away.

"I can't." She said firmly. " I'm sorry I didn't think..." She stammered. "I don't like you like that." She said as she started to turn away. "I'm sorry." She said one final time before fleeing.

Em turned towards Valkyrie who was now speeding away. She saw. She smirked.

Carol slammed the dormroom door behind her and slid to the ground. That didn't happen. That can't of happened.

"I thought you hated Em." Carol jumped at the voice. Valkyrie.

"I do." Carol said desperately as she stood up.

"That's not usually what it means when you stick your tongue down someone's throat." Valkyrie said bitterly.

She saw? No. No. No! "I thought-"

"You don't have to explain yourself to me Carol. I don't care." She said not looking at her.

She doesn't care? "You're right. I don't." Carol said firmly. What are you doing? She screamed internally.

"But I warned you about her so don't come running to me when she breaks your fucking heart." Valkyrie almost screamed.

"It was just a one time thing! I didn't-"

"Stop!" Valkyrie yelled. That hurt. She could of punched her and it wouldn't of hurt as much.

Valkyrie stormed towards the door and yanked it open. Carol was surprised she didn't break it.

"Where are you going?" Carol asked.

"Out." Valkyrie replied as she slammed the door behind her.

She hates me. She hates me so much. Carol thought as she broke down into tears.
