"Valkyrie?"

"Hey buddy!" Valkyrie said, her speech slured.

"Why are you calling me at this time?"

"Why is the sky blue?"

"You're drunk aren't you?" Thor sighed.

"Well it's actually black right now. Or dark blue. The stars look so nice out here."

"Where are you?"

"The park."

"The one we played football at?"

"Duh." Valkyrie giggled at her own words.

"Alright, I'm on my way. Stay there." He ordered.

Thor arrived within ten minutes and knelt down besides Valkyrie who was surrounded by empty beer bottles.

"You drank all this?"

"Of course. I drink more than everyone." Valkyrie said proudly.

"You'll outlive us all." He murmmered.  His phone suddenly chimed and as he went to answer it Valkyrie grinned.

"Ooo someone's popular." She giggled again.

"It's my mum." Thor grumbled. "I snuck out to help you cos I'm grounded. Guess she noticed."

"You're an adult!" Thor gave her a stern look. "And a mumma's boy."

"You should of just called Carol."

"She hates me." Valkyrie said lowly.

"She doesn't seem like the hate type." Thor said, hoping it was just the alcohol speaking.

"That's what I thought before she yelled at me. I think I yelled first... Maybe it was her." She started to mutter as Thor got Carol's number up on his phone.

"Then I'll call her." He decided.

"You have her number?"

"We agreed something like this would happen some day." Thor said. She grinned in response.

Carol picked up at once, her voice sounding desperate through the mic.

"Is she there?" She asked desperately. Doesn't sound like she hates you. Thor smiled.

"Yeah-"

"Is that her?" Valkyrie said, reaching for the phone. Thor nudged her away but she was persistent. "Can you tell her I'm sorry. And I didn't mean to yell. I only did that cos I was jealous- but you can't tell her that, that's top secret." She slured.

Carol heard Valkyrie and nearly dropped her phone. She knew Valkyrie wouldn't remember this the following day but it meant a lot to Carol.

"Can you come get her? We're at the park down the road." Carol didn't reply. Valkyrie's words played in her head like a broken record.

"Tell her I think she's the prettiest person I've ever met. Thor! Tell her!" Valkyrie demanded but Thor waved her away.

"I can't make it to your dorm and back to my house in less than ten minutes so I need you to help." Carol didn't question the specifics and instead grabbed her jacket and keys.

"On my way." She said finally.

"You didn't tell her!" Valkyrie shouted punching Thor in the stomach.

"Yeah, you're welcome." He murmmered.

Carol arrived five minutes later, glad to see Valkyrie was safe. She'd been worried about her being out for so long, especially as it was dark and she knew Valkyrie loved alcohol.
