Chris and I were getting ready for the new year.
"Do you like fireworks?" Chris asked me, taking down banners that read 'Merry Christmas'
"I love them, but I've only seen them from my window" I replied
"How about we go to uncle Scott's house?, he's got some fireworks that you'll be able to really see."
"Yay" I exclaimed, running to my room to get changed.
------ 20 minutes later------
After 20 minutes, Chris and I were in the car, on their way to Scott's house.
"I'm tired daddy. are we almost there?"
Chris checked the time. It was 10:30pm, still an hour and a half before the new year.
"Get some sleep marshmallow, I'll wake you up when it's time."
When Chris pulled up at Scott's house, it was 10:55pm. I was fast asleep in the back of Chris' car. Chris carried her into the house, but she woke up as soon as she heard the music of the party.
"Hey there sleepy head"
Scott smiled, scooping me up into a big bear hug. I danced to the music, entertaining all the party guests. Then everybody went outside, where Chris started a BBQ.
"One hotdog for the marshmallow princess" Chris laughed, handing me a hotdog, as he joined everyone in the crowd.
Scott and a few of his friends started setting up some fireworks, as the countdown begun.
"10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1....HAPPY NEW YEAR"
The fireworks went off as everyone cheered.
"Happy new year daddy."
"Happy new year Louise."
