A Night We'll Never Remember

Chapter 9

Regina and I met earlier than 11:30 like we said last night. We ended up meeting and having breakfast together. It was nice. I really like spending time with her. We always talk when we're together. It's nice to get to know her as a person. She's real, she's honest and she's everything I've ever wanted. I really hope we work out but in the back of my mind I feel like she's just gonna end things and move on. After breakfast the car came to pick us up to go to the country club. When we got there Regina and I shared the same room to get changed. I got dressed first as Regina did her makeup and hair then she went into the bathroom to get dressed and when she came out she just looked beautiful. "Wow Regina. Just wow. You look so amazing".   Her dress was a baby blue color just like my shirt. "Thank you Emma. That means a lot coming from you. Are you ready to go meet with the wedding planner to see what needs to be done?"   "Sure I'm ready whenever you are".  We leave the room and everything is almost done for the wedding. The wedding planner goes over a few things with Regina and I because I wasn't at the rehearsal dinner last night. All I have to do is walk Regina down the isle and stand on the grooms side during the ceremony, the ceremony was very beautiful. Katherine looked so great in her wedding gown. It makes me wish I remembered when Regina and I got married. I think back to the video we watched and seeing her walk down the isle to me, I can by tell by the look on my face that I loved every minute of it. When the ceremony was over it was time for the reception. The DJ did the introductions and when it was time for Regina and I to walk into the room he announced us as Mrs. & Mrs. Swan-Mills. Regina whispers to me. "Damn it Katherine. I know she did that on purpose". I just smile and laugh. "It's not funny Miss Swan".   "I believe it's Mrs. Swan-Mills".  "Not funny Emma". We sat at a table with everyone else from the wedding party and had a delicious dinner. Regina and I both had prime rib with roasted red potatoes and sautéed mixed veggies. Thank goodness there were no mushrooms in there became I hate those. After dinner was the bride and groom dance and the next song song was when the wedding party danced along with the bride and groom. It was nice holding Regina in my arms as we danced. We had a lot of fun during the reception. We talked to the other members of the wedding party and it was great. They are all nice people. We laughed and danced all night. Yes we did have a lot to drink but nothing like a few nights ago. We were all just celebrating Katherine and Frederick's wedding day. Fred is a cool guy. I wouldn't mind hanging out with him sometime. About 10 o'clock the wedding was over and the limo took Regina and I back to our hotel. Before we retired to our rooms we went to the bar and had a few more drinks. We sat and talked a little more and we even danced a few times. We then paid the tab and I walked Regina to her room. When we get to her door she says. "Would you like to join me for a drink before you go to your room Emma?"   "Sure Regina I'd like that a lot".  We go into her room and we sit on the couch. "What can I get you to drink?  In the beverage fridge I have beer, wine and some tequila".   "Oh tequila. The reason for our predicament these days".  I laugh a little as she just smiles and shakes her head. "I wouldn't mind a beer and a shot of tequila".  "That sounds good. I think I'll have the same".  She gets up and walks to the room refrigerator. She takes out 2 beers and the bottle of tequila. She puts them on the coffee table and goes to get 2 glasses. She sits down and pours us some tequila and we both open our beers. "Here's to a wonderful day today and the best of luck to Kat & Frederick".  I say as I raised my glass. Regina did the same and we clinked our glasses together and shot back the tequila then we took a sip of the beer. We both had smiles on our faces. Regina stops smiling as she's looking at me. Her eyes are wandering all over me. She slowly leans in to give me a quick kiss then pulls back. It felt electric when she kissed me and even though I wanted more I went at her speed. "Thank you for a wonderful day Emma. I'm really glad you could join me for the wedding. I enjoy your company".   "I had a wonderful time Regina. I hope we can do something like that again soon".  "I'd like that Emma". She leans in to kiss me again, and this kiss is more passionate than the last one. When we finally separate for air Regina says. "Take me to bed Emma".  We kiss again but I slowly pull away. "Regina there is nothing I want more than to be with you that way but I don't want this to be something that you end up regretting in the morning. We already have a night we don't remember because of alcohol and we've both been drinking all night. Maybe we should just call it a night and talk about this later when the alcohol has worn off".  I see a frown on her face but she agrees with me. "Yes you are right Emma. We should definitely think about this with a clear mind. I do apologize".  "No need for an apology Regina. Maybe we can have lunch tomorrow and talk more about us".  "Yes I think I'd like that".  I get up and so does she. I walk to the door and she follows. "Goodnight Regina".  "Goodnight Emma. I'll see you soon". We kiss goodbye and I walk to the elevator and go to my room. Being a responsible adult sucks.
Ruby, Dorothy, Belle and Ashley were all in my room when I walked in. They were hanging out on the couch having a few drinks and listening to music.  "Hey Ems. Welcome home. How was the wedding?"   "It was really nice Ruby. We had a great time. So what are you girls doing here tonight, isn't there a night club you should be getting ready to close down?"   "Nope not tonight Ems. We just wanted to chill out here in our room wearing our pajamas and having some drinks".  "Sounds good. I'm gonna shower and change and maybe I'll join you for a few if that's ok?"   "Of course it is Em. Our coolers are full".  Great thanks Ruby". I grabbed some clothes, took my shower then I joined them for a few drinks. I just had beer and a few shots. I drank all night at the wedding and I didn't want to push things. I just sat around and listened to Ruby and her friends talk about some of the fun things they've done. When it was about 3am we called it a night. The 3 girls left to go tho their room and Ruby and I got into our beds to go to sleep.
