"Bakit dito tayo dumiretso?" I asked as I stare at the building of our department.
This department has been my home for a few years but now, it seems so estranged to me. I don't know why. Siguro dahil guilty ako? Siguro kasi alam ko-- aware ako na marami akong kasamaang ginawa dito. And those sins . . . are starting to attack me now. Forming into a painful dilemma, I can't help but be drowned to the sea of my what if's.
What if I didn't do that to Rafael?
What if I stayed good to him?
What if . . . just what if, I halted my toxicity right on that moment?
I don't have any idea and I fucking stressed out to think clearly. All I want right now is to fucking find and stop him!
"I don't fucking know. I just . . . found myself maneuvering that damn vehicle here." Dae darted me a deadly gaze, "Putangina naman, puro tanong?"
I rolled my eyes at him.
Katulad na katulad talaga siya ng best friend niyang jowa ko. Calvin and him are best friends ever since they were born. Mag-best friend din kasi ang mga tatay nila.
Pulis ang tatay ni Calvin, sundalo naman ang kay Dae. Lumaki sila sa istriktong pamilya. Iyon siguro ang dahilan kung bakit pareho sila ng ugali. Pareho silang seryoso sa buhay. Pareho silang madaling magalit. Pareho silang hirap na hirap mag-timpi.
Pero ang pagkakaiba lang nila, Calvin is quiet while Dae is a loud one. They are polar opposites. Calvin would choose to busy himself with just sitting on his house, playing some random online games. While Dae would choose to put himself on the limelight. He is the current Mr. Criminology and all of the girls in our University are trying hard to get his attention.
Gwapo naman kasi itong si Dae. Lamang ang pagka-koreano sa itsura niya dahil sa nanay niyang Korean. Kung hindi ko nga naging jowa itong si Calvin, I will fucking throw myself to him.
"So, saan na tayo?" Bevs asked, looking around like the most stupid overthinker in the whole wide world.
No one answered her. We all find ourselves following Calvin inside the building.
Ngayon ay mag-aalas-siyete na kaya't wala nang mga tao dito. Patay na rin ang mga ilaw sa corridors at class rooms. With the plain darkness, this building is becoming more and more creepy to my mind.
Thinking about that, wala na palang tao. How the fuck did Dae managed to enter his vehicle here? Hindi ba siya pinigilan ng mga Security Guard?
Paano niya nagawa 'yon?
I roll my eyes once more.
Money. Sinuhulan siguro ni gago.
Natigilan kaming lahat noong tumigil si Calvin sa paglalakad. "Why the fuck are you all walking behind me? Do you think I fucking know all the rooms in this god damn building?"
I wince. Yeah.
Hindi nga pala siya dito nag-ru-room. Calvin and him are Criminology students. Napasama lang talaga silang dalawa ni Dae sa circle of friends ko noong maging boyfriend ko siya.
