I open my eye. I turn around and silently cry. "Why did he do this? Why did block himself off from us? Ugh it's so frustrating!" Ruby whispers behind me.
"S-Sapphire?" She turns me around. "Aww... Sapphire. H-He'll be okay."
Suddenly the door opens. "Garnet I-" Pearl gasps. "Sapphire? Ruby?"
I look at her, tears falling out of my eye. "I-I'm sorry.... we couldn't.... I....I-" Pearl bends down. "It's okay. It's not your fault." She says, hugging me. "No! It is! She was doing fine, but I have to get all emotional from this because we can't see in the future to see he's gonna be okay!" Pearl looks at me. "None of us can." I nod and wipe away my tears.
"Will you be okay?" She asks. "I have to be." I respond and she walks out, closing the door behind her.
I sit up against the bathtub and lay my head in my arms. I feel Ruby sit next to me and wrap her arms around me. I smile and lay my head on her shoulder. "Just tell me when you're ready to fuse." She says. I nod.
After a couple minutes I get up. "Ready?" She asks. "Ready." We do our fusion dance and soon enough we fuse.
