I open my eyes, and to my surprise I'm not seeing the blackness of the cave. I can't really see from one of my eyes because of Citrine giving me a black eye.
Then I remember what happened and I smile. I look over, and my dad is sleeping in a chair next to my bed. "D-Dad?" He jolts awake. "Steven!" He immediately gets up and hugs me.
"Ah!" I say as he leans a bit on my broken arm that I find is in a sling now. "Oh! Sorry! I'm glad your back Schtuball. I thought you were gone forever. And I'm so sorry this happened to you." He said, tearing up.
"I-It's okay dad. It's not your fault." He smiled. "At least the pink hasn't spread anymore."
Suddenly my stomach rumbles. "Looks like you're hungry." He says "Yeah, I haven't really eaten in a few days" I say, chuckling a bit.
"Where's everyone?" I ask. "They're outside getting some... fresh air." He says a bit nervously, but I can tell something's wrong. "What's wrong? What happened?" I ask worriedly. "I think that's something for them to tell you. I'll get you some food now. You need energy."
He gets up and goes to the kitchen to make me something, but before he can, I fall asleep again, still very tired from everything.
