Spreading Emotions (Au)

Steven Pov

After warping you multiple places, we appear in the place Pearl went after finding out I knew where Roses sword was.

Sure enough, we see what we assume is Pearl sitting on the farthest island away. "Maybe I should just go..." I say.

Garnet thinks for a moment before nodding. "What?!" Amethyst exclaims quietly. Garnet sighs. "It would be better if Pearl wasn't bombarded by gems. She's the most sensitive about Steven right now. I think he should go."

Amethyst looks hurt, but agrees. "And Steven" Garnet adds. I turn the hoverchair towards her. "Please be careful." I smile and nod. "I will."

As I come upon the island Pearl is on, I try not to think about how I almost died here. The memories of falling, and Pearl doing nothing... I sigh. It wasn't her fault.

I keep on going, and soon enough I reach her island. She whips around, frightened and scoots back a bit. "Steven! You shouldn't be here! You have to go home!" She says worriedly through tears.

"Pearl, I'm here for you. And I'm not leaving until you agree to come with me." I wince as the cut on my chest starts burning a bit. I guess my pain meds started wearing off.

Pearl notices and stands up. "Im fine! Just go!" I can see her covering part of her arm. "No you're not fine! And what are you hiding?" I ask trying to move her hand with my not-broken arm.

"I SAID IM FINE!!" She yells. I flinch. Memories of Citrine pop into my head, and I start crying. She looks taken aback, but then realizes what happened. She gasps.

"N-No Steven! Don't cry I won't hurt you." She says with tears coming out of her eyes. I know she won't, but my whole body's shaking and I can't control it. "I-I know" I say between tears. "Please.. just come home with us. With.. me. I need you Pearl."

She looks torn. "I-I can't..." then I notice some pink blotch spreading over her arm. "P-Pearl!" I say alarmed. She moves her hand off her arm and a circle of dark and light pink lies under it.

I gasp and tears start to form in my eyes. "N-No! I-I can fix it!" She shakes her head. "You can't. You don't have your powers back yet. Without all the Diamonds, there's nothing you can do. I accidentally corrupted myself because I shattered Jasper."

My heart sank. "You have to come home with us! Please we can fix you." Horns slowly grew up from her head. "I said no." She says turning away from me. "I won't hurt you"

I sigh. "Please. I know it's a bit of a stretch, but we'll find a way to help you! I swear! And if-" Pearl whips around, both of her eyes pitch black with small teal squares as irises. "I said.. IM NOT GOING!" She screeches in a demonic voice.

She swings her arm, and breaks my chair, knocking me to the ground. I fall on my broken arm and yell in pain.

Tears are rolling down my cheeks and I start hyperventilating. Garnet and Amethyst hear all the commotion and rush up. "What hap-" Garnet gasps as she sees a semi corrupted Pearl, and me lying on the ground.

Pearls eyes turn normal, and she looks around. She gasps as she sees me. "Steven! Oh god... d-did I?" She covers her mouth. "Pearl... we have to poof you.. just until Steven gets better. Please." Garnet says with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Pearls eyes turn corrupted again and her limbs start turning thicker. "No!" Corrupted Pearl yells, and runs away. Garnet tries to catch her while Amethyst carefully picks me up.

"Are you okay Steven?" She asks, a very worried expression on her face. "Y-Yeah.." I say tears rolling down my cheeks.

Soon Garnet comes back. "I lost her. She went through the warp pad." The tears start falling faster. "We have to find her. I don't care what it takes." I say sadly.

Welcome to the end of the book! Don't worry though! It's not reeeeally over! I will be making a sequel called "Pearls Corruption" it'll come out in the next couple days! But for now, goodbye! It's been really fun writing this book!
