I carry Steven and the couch out to the beach. Everyone else is gathering people. I kneel next to him in the sand, and pat his head. I sigh.
People start showing up and gathering around Steven with worried looks on their faces.
"Move! Move!" I hear someone say. Connie bursts from the crowd of people and crouches next to Steven. "Oh Steven.... what happened to you..."
A bit later I see Lars and Sadie come to the front of the crowd. They watch with worried expressions on their faces.
Pearl comes up to me and tells me that everyone's here. And right on time. The pink has almost finished moving up his hair, and his breathing was getting faint.
I rest my hand on Stevens forehead. "Steven. We're all here! Everyone is here with you. We love you."
