Spreading Emotions (Au)

Garnet Pov

I wake up to someone shaking me. I jump up, instantly alert.

"Hey woah it's just me." I look over and lapis is standing there. "Lapis! Is she done?" I ask. She nods happily. "And it's working! You need to come now." I nod and we wake Pearl, Amethyst, and Connie up.

"Guys it's working. We need to go." They look excited and we follow Lapis to where Peridot was working.

"Guys!" Peridot says as she sees us. "Bad news. Over here!" She leads us to a large computer screen. "One of the last exits from earth into space says it goes to these coordinates. Right about where the...." she says, but chokes on the last word. I look down "The catacombs are..." I finish.

"Are you sure?" Connie asks. She nods. I sigh and turn to everyone. "We've got to go. For Steven." They nod.

We go to the warp pad and I notice Peridot, Lapis, and Bismuth are following. I turn around. "Peridot, Lapis, Bismuth. You guys have to stay."

They gasp. "What no! We're helping you!" Lapis says angrily. I sigh. "Someone has to protect Beach City. I know you guys love Steven, but what if something happens?" I say worriedly. "Nothing's gonna happen! We're in peace! There aren't any threats!" Bismuth says.

"Then why was Steven taken?" I say, choking a bit when I say Stevens name. I lower my head. "Please guys. Do it for him. He would have wanted this."

Suddenly I feel someone hugging me. It's Peridot. "Okay" she says. Soon we're all in a big group hug. I smile.

"Goodbye" I say as we step on the warp pad. "Watch over Beach City for us." Amethyst smiles as we warp to the catacombs.

When we get there I immediately pull Pearl, Amethyst, and into a bush. "We have to stay low." I whisper. They nod. We keep to the side. Looking out for any entry into the catacombs.

"What's this?" Pearl asks and tries to pull a spear like object out of the ground. Instead, the ground starts to rumble and a tunnel forms in front of us.

"This must be it. Remember, don't draw any attention to us." I say. Connie puts on her cloak.

We walk in and there are a bunch of gems inside. It's a huge place. Like a world underground. It goes so far, you can't see any of the edges.

I jump a bit as the tunnel closes behind us. Luckily, no one pays attention to us as it's normal to them. We sneak off in the middle of the hundreds of gems and look around for any sign of Steven.

"Come on.." I say under my breath. Soon we come across a huge hollow rock with an entrance guarded by some Jaspers and Amethysts. Pearl gasps. "Maybe he's in there" she whispers excitedly. "Yeah" Amethyst agrees. Connie smiles widely.

"Hm. Let's go around and see if there's any entry points. It might take a while, this rock is pretty big." They nod.

As we continue, we look everywhere for any points of entry. Soon I see a small hole. "Hm. Couldn't hurt to try..." I mutter to myself. "Guys wait"

I take off my sunglasses, then crouch down. I put my eye to the hole. Once my sight adjusts to the darkness, I see a figure lying on the ground. It looks like their arm is twisted at an awkward angle. I gasp and tears come to my eyes. "S-Steven?!"
