Roddy Ricch POV
One of my shorties, Shaniya, texted me for a dick appointment today. But for some reason, Jackie been on my head since the last time I saw her.
I felt like I couldn't do it.
I've been avoiding all the women I mess around with just trying to figure myself out.
Me: Not today, busy
Then I put my phone back in my pocket, listening to this new song I recorded called High Fashion.
I was bobbing my head to it, pulling out my blunt I already rolled earlier then grabbing my lighter lighting the blunt.
I took a puff of the blunt, and blew some smoke out, hearing a voice behind me.
"Why you leave your front door unlocked?" I heard Jackie's familiar voice say from behind me.
I smiled and stood up.
"Hey what you doing here?" I asked, I ain't even gone front I was excited to see her.
"I was just in the neighborhood. I was by In and Out burger so I stopped by and got us some food. Figured you were hungry..." She said. I chuckled.
"You know me so well." I said embracing her, giving her a hug.
"Mhm I got you a double double." She said hugging me back and I kissed her cheek.
"Thank you mamas." I said as she handed me my bag and my drink.
"What drink is this?" I asked.
"Pink lemonade." She said.
"Coo'. Thank you I appreciate this" I said. Like I said, Jackie has always looked out for me.
"No problem." She said as we sat the table opening the bags pulling out the food.
"I kinda thought you've been mad at me." I said.
"Nah I'm over it, I understand." She said.
"Understand what?" I asked.
"About you just wanting to be friends. I've finally accepted that." Jackie said chuckling, I rose my eyebrow taking a sip of my drink.
"Really?" I asked, I wasn't sure if I liked that. Does that mean things gone change?
"Yeah. I mean, I ain't gone force it on you. So I accepted it." She said.
"Oh... Okay." I said.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
"Oh nothing, I just thought about... Something from yesterday." I lied.
"Wanna talk about it?" Jackie asked.
"Uh nah I'm good. Thank you though" I said, she nodded her head and just as I was about to start eating she smacked my hand making me drop my burger on the plate.
"What?" I asked chuckling.
"We didn't pray first." She said.
"Oh yeah, my fault." I said.
We both said a prayer together before we began eating.
-
"You never talk about your parents Jackie. I've never met them, nothing." I said.
"Well there's not much to tell." She said sighing.
"Talk to me." I said. We were in my living room, it was dark but the candles were lit and my fireplace was on so it could get warm. We had two wine glasses sitting on the coffee table and a big bottle of wine in the middle of the glasses. With the song "Soon as I get home" by Faith Evans playing softly in the background.
"Well, my mom was on and off of drugs. So at the age of 5, child protection services took me away from her and put me in foster care. I hated my foster parents, so I ran away at the age of 7.. I ran to this diner called "Silk's Diner" and the owner Mr.Silk knew me very well, so he took me in. He had young children around my age, so he and his wife agreed to take me in. Not adopt me, but take me in. So I stayed with them, my mom got off the drugs for a while when I turned 15 and tried to find me, and come back into my life. But couldn't. Then when I turned 17, I seen her. It didn't end well, we almost fought. Because she was back on the drugs and wasn't in her right mind." Jackie said, I didn't know she went through all that... Made me feel bad for her.
"How come you never told me these things?" I asked.
"Never felt the need. They took me from my mom because she wasn't taking good care of me. She would drop me off at my grandma's house all the time, and wouldn't come back for days and days. Weeks. My grandma was so disappointed in her. My mom put men before me. I've seen her and her ex smoking meth in her bedroom. I was like 4 at the time. I didn't know what it was then, but I do now. It was crystal meth." She said.
I sighed rubbing Jackie's back.
"I'm 21 now, and I have no idea where my mom is. After the last time we saw each other 4 years ago and almost fought, haven't seen her since. Probably still strung out on meth and cocaine." Jackie said shrugging like she didn't care, but I know she does.
"Well, what about your dad?" I asked.
She chuckled and said "He wasn't around. But he was in and out of prison. He sold drugs, and did a lot of illegal things. And I think he's actually incarcerated right now. I only spoke to him once when I was 15 over the phone. I don't know how he looks at all." She said.
"I'm sorry Jackie... I'm always here for you, you know that." I said to her.
"I know. I'm glad we're friends Rodrick. I didn't have a lot of people in my life.. But I'm glad I got you." She said. I smiled a little.
"I ain't goin no where shawty, don't trip." I said.
"Mhm." She said playfully rolling her eyes.
"What?" I said chuckling.
"You got all these little hoes" Jackie said laughing.
"Nah not at all" I said chuckling.
"Yeah okay." Jackie said playfully pushing me. I grabbed her arms laughing and I laid her down on the couch pinning her arms down above her head.
"Stop it" She said laughing.
"You want me to?" I mumbled leaning down, then gave her a kiss. Which slowly turned into a make out session, she held the sides of my face as we kissed. I grabbed her leg rubbing it slowly, pressing my body against her's and I started grinding against her.
"Mmm" I heard her moan softly in my ear.
"I wanna be inside you" I said in her ear, she smiled.
"Wait wait Rodrick, we can't." She said pushing me off of her.
"What? Why?" I asked confused.
"Were friends remember? If I have sex with you, it's gonna make me have feelings again." She said honestly.
"Wait so you ain't got feelings for me no more?" I asked kind of offended.
"No I do, but it'll get deeper if we keep having sex. And I know you don't want that so, we should stop." Jackie said.
"Oh, yeah true... Okay." I said getting off of her. Jackie actually turned me down. I ain't gone lie, I felt a way about that.
"Are you mad?" She asked me.
"Nah, I understand baby girl." I said grabbing his hand placing a light kiss on it. Hey, I asked for it. Can't be mad at shawty for respecting herself.
"Let's play cards?" She suggested.
"I'm down." I said with a smile.
