Roddy POV

The next morning

I brought up Jackie some breakfast in bed, she barely slept last night. And so did I.

She probably slept for about 2 hours but that was it.

I walked in the room saying "Baby I made you some food.."

"I'm not hungry.." She said softly, laying her head on the pillow.

"Baby you gotta eat.." I said, she sighed a little sitting up.

"Later please.." She said, I sighed putting the food on the nightstand.

"How are you feeling?" I asked her sitting on the bed next to her.

"I wish I could've prevented all that." Jackie said.

"You had no idea about any of that happening, please don't blame yourself." I said.

"He was trying to protect my mother.. This is why I don't want her around. Look at the short amount of time she's been around and all the trouble that has happened. Everything was fine until she showed up." Jackie said.

"I know.." I said rubbing her back.

"Our relationship was finally getting normal..." Jackie said.

"He can't even walk me down the aisle.." She added, I sighed kissing her forehead.

"I'm sorry baby.. I'm here for you and I want you to know that. Don't hesitate to talk to me" I said.

"Thank you..." She said wiping her tears. She been crying off and on all night, her eyes were so puffy.

"Of course." I said.

"At least, we were able to spend the whole day with him yesterday at Disney World. You know?" I said.

"Yeah... We rode on 4 rides together. Then we had a talk... And now, I'll always remember that." Jackie said.

"What'd you guys speak about? If you don't mind me asking?" I asked.

Jackie POV

"What'd you guys speak about? If you don't mind me asking?" Rodrick asked me.

Flashback, yesterday

"Let me talk to you real quick" My dad said, I nodded my head handing Jr to Rodrick and my dad wrapped one arm around me as we walked down the trail.

"I'm so proud of you.." My dad said.

"Why? What I do?" I asked chuckling.

"22 years old, with your own store, your own brand, a fiancé, a baby, and handling all that so well. You are the best mother, I see how much you look out for Jr." He said.

"Thank you dad" I said with a smile.

"You're welcome. Don't be forgetting about me the more you elevate" He said chuckling.

"I could never" I said laughing too, he kissed my forehead.

"I love you" He said, I looked up at him.

"For real?" I asked.

"Of course, I always did, I just made bad decisions and got locked up." He said.

"I love you too dad" I said with a smile. I didn't mind saying it now, we built our relationship from scratch and I was finally, comfortable with him.

"Don't forget about me Jacqueline." He said.

"Why you keep saying that???" I asked chuckling.
