Chapter 15

Roddy POV

"Thank you for meeting with me.." I said to Jackie. It was early in the morning and I invited her out for breakfast. Just to thank her for everything, and for putting half for the bail money.

"No problem. How are you?" She asked sitting down across from me.

"I'm doing aight. How you feelin'?" I asked.

"I'm coo'." She said, I chuckled looking at her.

"What?" Jackie asked.

"You look beautiful.. I'm star struck." I said and she laughed saying "Boy shut up.. But thank you."

"You're welcome." I said, just then the waitress came up and took our orders and now we were waiting for our food.

"So what was it about him?" I asked Jackie.

"About who?" She asked.

"Ken." I said.

"What do you mean?" She asked me.

"What was it about him, that made you get with him?" I asked.

"Well he was sweet. Kind, loyal, respectful. He showed me a lot of attention, just everything I was looking for was in him." Jackie said honestly. I sighed.

"I'm sorry that I failed to do that for you..." I said, she sighed a little.

"Rodrick I-"

"Can I finish?" I asked and she nodded her head.

"I know that's what you wanted from me. I was just too stuck in my ways to see it. Too caught up in hoes. I'm sorry it took me a year to realize that. For real.." I said. She just looked at me.

"It's okay, thank you for the apology.. I'm not gonna lie, that's something I've always wanted from you." She said.

"Well you got it. You deserve one.." I said.

"Thank you." She said, we just looked at each other. Then she broke the ice and said "So Bird tells me you always talkin' bout me."

"Dang my nigga airing me out like that? Sheesh" I said chuckling and she laughed.

"It's okay.. Shows I'm on your mind." Jackie said with a smile, I smiled back and said "Every day. Especially at night too"

She laughed and said "And what 'chu be thinkin' bout when you think about me at night?"

"Don't tempt me I'll say it" I said and we both laughed and she said "Shut up Rodrick".

We was both flirting with each other and it was obvious. Kinda reminds me when we first met and instantly hit it off.

My phone started ringing, and I pulled it out and she saw India's name.

"Um one second" I said. She nodded her head.

I can tell she was uncomfortable.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Where you at? I'm tryna get some dick" India said through the phone.

"Nah not right now I'm out." I said.

"Where? With who?" She asked.

"Don't trip, just know I'm out." I said.

"Better not be with no bitch." She said.

"I'm not" I said, because Jackie's not a bitch.

"Mhm okay. Bye" She said. I hung up the phone.

"Why was she calling you? If you don't mind me asking" Jackie said.

"She on some shit as usual." I said.
