Chapter 47

Roddy POV

I landed back in Cali, and we all got in our cars, since we took them separately and I drove home.

When I pulled up, I grabbed the little box with the promise ring I bought for Jackie inside of it, and I grabbed the roses and got out the car.

I put the box in my pocket, then I walked to the door unlocking it and walking inside.

Once I walked upstairs, and into the room Jackie's eyes widened. I knew she would be surprised that I flew back early.

She obviously just got out the shower, she was wet and there was towel wrapped around her as she was moisturizing her face in her mirror. She had a face mask on, I chuckled.

"Why are you home early?" She asked.

"You really thought I was just gone kick it there without you?" I asked.

She shrugged.

"You tend to do a lot of things without me." Jackie said.

I sighed and said "Baby I'm sorry... Okay? My head wasn't on straight and I let my pride get to me.."

She looked at me and sighed a little.

"Look, I got you these." I said handing her the roses, she chuckled a little grabbing them, and sniffed them.

"Thank you Rodrick." She said, I know she liked it but she putting up a front right now.

"You're welcome baby. I want you to know, I'm gonna get my number changed, since I gave it to Doja while we were in Utah. I don't want her texting or tryna call me, none of that. Also, I ain't gone do a song with her since I know how she set up. I ain't gone do you like that" I said, Jackie looked at me.

"For real?" She said.

"For real my baby" I said and she smiled a little.

"You way too important to me, and you was right. She was doing too much, I just let my ego get the best of me. Then I was still feeling a way about you and Bird's friendship, I always knew y'all was close but I didn't get a clear view of it until we were all in the same household for days. And I got intimidated, so I think I just let that get to me." I said. Jackie sighed and walked over to me, wrapping her arms around my neck.

"The fact that you admitted what was wrong, is big of you. And I appreciate your apology baby. I love you, and I'm glad you owned up to what was bothering you. Please please understand that me and Bird are just friends. Always have been and always will be. He doesn't look at me like that, I don't look at him like that. At all." Jackie said chuckling.

"I know, and I thought about it... if that was the case y'all would've been got together. Before I even got involved." I said shrugging.

"Yeah that would've been happened. So, I don't know why you was trippin" Jackie said rolling her eyes.

"Just my insecurities. I have something else for you" I said.

"What?" She asked.

I pulled out the box and her eyes widened.

I opened the box showing the ring and she said "Rodrick??"

"It's a promise ring.. But don't worry, soon it'll be a wedding ring." I said and she smiled.

"Aw baby" She said giving me a kiss.

I pulled the ring out and said, "Here." And I slid it on her finger.

"I love you and I promise I'm gone love you forever. Despite everything you be having my back and I can never thank you enough." I said, she kissed me and I instantly kissed her back, taking her towel off. She giggled into the kiss as I rubbed all on her bare body.
