Jackie POV

The next day

I drove to Bird's house first thing this morning before I stop at my store to get my day started.

I had to drop off the fly gift I bought him for his birthday.

I pulled up to his house, seeing him getting stuff out of his car. I chuckled as I got out the car saying "Need some help?"

"Nah I got it sis. Come in" He said opening the door for me and we both walked inside and I shut the door behind us.

"I see y'all rearranged some things around here." I said looking around.

"Yeah making some extra space early." Bird said chuckling sitting the two big boxes he carried in down.

"Where's my baby?" I asked referring to Justine.

"Studio session bright and early, so she can spend the rest of the day wit ya boy." Bird said, I nodded my head.

"Aww how cute." I said sarcastically and he chuckled and pushed me.

We both sat down on the couch.

"So what brings you by lil girl" He said.

"I ain't little" I said laughing and he laughed too.

"But I actually, I uh, got you something." I said, grabbing the two small boxes from my purse. One was a long box, since it was two gold chains and the other was a short square box since it was the rolex.

"Ah Jackie you ain't have to" Bird said cheesing.

"Mhm." I said and he laughed and grabbed the boxes.

He opened the long one first and his eyes widened.

"Jackie..." He said.

I smiled and said "You like it?"

"I love it. Man... You didn't have to-"

"Shh. Yes I did. You my bro" I said. Bird smiled.

"I really appreciate it Jackie." He said looking at me.

"That's not it, open the other one." I said.

Bird said "Out here spoiling me." Before opening the box and said "What the- Jackie. A rolex?"

"Mhmmm" I said.

"Why you spend that kinda money-"

"Shut up and take it Bird!" I said and he laughed.

"Jackie thank you man. I can't even believe this..." He said.

"Why not?" I asked.

"I ain't that special." Bird said chuckling. Him saying that bothers me a little, because a part of me feels like he really feels that way.

"You are to me. You my best friend." I said. He looked at me.

"You always made a nigga feel that way. Man, thank you sis." Bird said reaching out for a hug, I hugged him and said "No problem."

"I got nothing but love for you" Bird said.

"And you already know it's the same on my end." I said.

We looked at each other and then he cleared his throat saying "I got a bone to pick with you though, acting grown at my party."

"What I do?" I asked laughing.

"You know. Don't make me say it" Bird said and I chuckled.

"Well I am grown! A whole wife and mother out here." I said.
