An unknown plague swept over the land, infecting every female dragon in the lands, wiping them to the point of extinction. Those who roam the lands now are only males. They all have learned to adapt to their now greatly changed world, but now, a conflicted hope still stands.

Arsonist will do anything to protect his young daughter; especially since she's the last female walking the earth.

But it's not that easy, and now everyone has their eyes on him and his precious daughter.

The feeling of something pawing at the left side of his face woke Arson up. He slowly opened his left eye to peer at whatever was attempting to wake him.

He was greeted by a pair of white twinkling eyes staring at him.

When she realized he was awake, she sloppily sat back, grinning in triumph.

"G'mornin', Papa!" she chirped cheerfully, her tail instinctively moving side to side.

An amused smile crawled onto his jaws naturally as he opened both his eyes and he lifted his head up.

"Mornin', my little princess," he purred, traces of sleep still coating his voice. He stretched briefly.

Ghost's smile widened at his greeting.

"I'm hungry, Papa," she then told him, digging her tiny claws into the dirt. "Let's find food?"

Her bright eyes sparkled with hope.

Arson dragged the front part of his body back and up to sit up, rustling his wings.

He shook his head lightly.

"You know the rules, darlin'. I  find food while you wait here."

Her smile fell only slightly but she nodded in affirmation. "Yes, Papa, I know."

He ruffled Ghost's head gently with a paw, prompting her to giggle.

As he pulled his paw back, he stood up, stretching for a moment.

"Good." He looked down at his daughter and ruffled her head again. "I'll be back. You know the rules."

Ghost nodded and turned to watch her father leave the den. "Bye, Papa!"

When the sound of his paw steps faded away, she pulled her gaze away from the entrance of their small den.

She glanced at her sticks in the corner that she usually confided to to deal with her boredom whenever her father left the den.

She didn't feel like playing with her toys at the moment though.

With a small pout, she stood up and began drawing in the dirt.

She sat back, grinning in satisfaction at the drawing she created.

It was her and Arson.

She admired it for a moment before boredom reared into her face again.

Ghost glanced at the small window beside the entrance.

Don't look or go outside without me.
