Seven months and going strong.

Poison believed that he could actually be the one.

That he was different from her previous lover...

Their first meeting was very professional; she had attended his job interview as his personal assistant.

With him being the boss of Gospel Publishing, a very known and successful publishing business, she wasn't entirely sure that she would've gotten the job.

There were big rumors of him being a total jerk while others spoke of him being incredibly charming, and they were both right in a way.

Though she had gotten the job, he remained cold and indifferent to her for the first few weeks.

But one day, when a client who wanted to get his book published started hitting on her, Devotee had turned him down and became warmer to her.

One thing led to another, and they were together.

It seemed too good to be real.

Their time together varied from having fancy dinner dates at five star restaurants to watching Disney movies late into the night with her two little girls.

"Moooooom!"

Speaking of her girls...

Poison zipper her suitcase close and moved it off the bed, extending the handle out so she could drag it.

"Yes, sweetie?"

"Dark hid the last brownies!"

Poison raked a hand through her hair and sighed heavily, a faint smile appearing on her lips.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" she called back, grabbing the suitcase by the handle and dragging it behind her as she exited her room.

Devotee had invited her to meet him on one of his business trips in Ireland, and she wasn't comfortable leaving her kids back in LA, so of course, they were coming with her.

She left her suitcase in the living room to head to the kitchen to see Pyth stick her tongue out at her sister mockingly.

"Hey, hey," Poison huffed to grab their attention, her gaze shifting into a stern glare.

"Dark," she sighed, directing her eyes to her youngest daughter, who was pouting slightly.

"Yes, Mom?" Her voice was quiet and timid.

"Get the brownies. Don't eat any and put it into a container for the flight. Share it."

Her daughter nodded obediently and she headed into the direction of her room, and Pyth followed her.

Poison smiled in satisfaction and went to grab a couple water bottles, raising her voice to say, "You girls all packed?"

"Yes, Mom!" they called back.

Poison's smile widened slightly as she headed towards the living room to grab her suitcase, and her little girls were coming in with their own smaller suitcases.

"Ready to head to the airport?"

They nodded eagerly.

Poison grinned at them and opened the door so they could bound out of the apartment first, their suitcases rolling after them.

A ding from her phone caught her attention and she dug it out of her jean pocket to look at it.

Her heart fluttered when she saw that Devotee had texted her.
