Operation Breakup

Devotee, decked out in a full black outfit, and Serqet who is dressed normally, walk towards the door of an apartment.

Ser: "Thanks for helping me do this, Dev. I've never broken up with someone before." 

Dev: "Sure, what are friends for if not to help you into... other friendships."

Ser: "I'm just worried that I'll lose my nerve? If... I feel like he's a lot more invested in this relationship than I am.

Dev: "Don't worry, I'm a pro at this. Tons of girls have broken up with me."

Devotee places a black beanie on that has a earpiece connected to it. 

Dev: "You got your earpiece in?"

Ser: "Yeah. You wanna test it?"

Dev: "Yeah."

Dev, speaking into the earpiece: "This is Mongoose, come in, Heartbreaker."

Ser, walking back to Dev: "Okay, I need another codename."

Dev: "Man-eater?"

Ser: "..."

Dev: "Soul crusher."

Ser, exasperated: "You're just making me feel worse about this."

Dev: "I'm sorry. You can be Butterfly... of Sadness."

Ser: "Just leave it at Butterfly."

Dev: "Fine."

The two head into their places. Serqet waits near the apartment door while Devotee hides in the nearby bush. 

Dev, into the earpiece: "Commence Operation Scarring Emotional Pain."

Serqet glares at the bush momentarily before looking back at the door. Amen opens the door before she can knock on it. 

Amen: "Oh, hey, Ser!"

Ser: "Hey..."

Amen: "So good to see you!"

Amen hugs her and Ser gingerly hugs him back. 

Ser: "Oh, yeah. Well, I just wanted to talk to you."

Dev, into the earpiece, "You are doing great, I repeat, you are doing great."

Amen: "I was beginning to think that you'd forgotten that today was my birthday."

Dev, into the earpiece again, "You are the devil, I repeat, you are the devil."

Ser: "No, no... I don't forget things like that..."

Dev: "I did not sign up for this, Butterfly! Today is his birthday!"

Serqet, subtly into the earpiece with a seething voice: "How was I supposed to know?"

Dev: "Oh, I don't know. Have you thought of Facebook?"

Amen: "Hey, did you want to go get something to eat? I was thinking Italian."

Ser: "Hm."

Amen: "You think about it, I'll go get my jacket."

Amen heads back inside. 

 Dev: "Are you sure you want to continue with this? It's not going to be pretty; if he's anything like me, he's going to cry. A lot."

Serqet faces the bush Devotee is concealed in.
