This AU is yep, basically the title. Ever wondered what would happen if the characters of the Gospel Cult were thrown into a world where they're just normal humans in high school? Well, here it is. Except, it's still not normal. They're powerless beings but things will be ever so dramatic. And yes, some things will be changed, like the fact that Cryptic has kids, Poison has kids, etc. Anyway, enjoy!

Welcome to Gospel High School.
Okay, I know what you're thinking.
This is probably some strict Christian high school but don't judge it by its name; it's far from that.
Because this high school, as some of its students call it, is a hellhole.
People would call it hell but another high school has already taken that name.
Pukinn High. (Púkinn means Demon in Icelandic, hue. I'm a clever author. I think.)
These two schools, for as long as anyone can remember, have been the biggest rivals in the district, hell, the whole town.
And to put a cherry on top, these schools have rivals against each other in them as well.
So if you're attending any of these schools, good luck.
Good luck.
A boy with tousled, dark brown hair abruptly shut his locker, the satisfying click of metal reaching his ears.
With a quiet sigh, he fixed his leather jacket and picked up his backpack.
He paid no attention to the curious and prying eyes that searched him.
He was sort of... popular in Gospel High.
What was he known for?
The sudden sound of many footsteps nearing him then caught his attention, and he turned his head to his right to see a group of people sauntering over to him.
"Amen," the boy leading the group called out to him smugly, wearing a smirk.
His black hair was sloppily slicked back but some pieces of it were falling onto his forehead and his red eyes blazed with arrogance.
His backpack was slung over one shoulder, slightly wrinkling his dark turquoise dress shirt.
Devotee.
Known as the leader of Gospel High.
Amen, the boy in the black leather jacket, sighed internally.
Amen was known for his rivalry with Devotee.
It had started back in junior year, if he remembered correctly.
How? Well, that's a story for another time.
"Dev," he greeted, running a hand through his disheveled hair carelessly, flashing up a smirk as well.
The people behind Devotee shifted.
There was Cryptic, a white girl with pale blonde, almost white, straight hair. Her purple and pink blouse was tucked into her blue skirt that rested way too high on her hips.
Amen didn't know the others who were behind Devotee besides Cryptic.
"How have you been?" Devotee then asked him with that shit-eating grin of his, leaning on one of the lockers in front of Amen whilst crossing his arms.
Amen adjusted his backpack. "Oh, y'know." He rolled his eyes subtly. "Survivin'."
"Cute," Devotee commented.
Amen rolled his eyes again. "What do you and your lil' toys want?" he queried.
Cryptic glared at Amen, popping her gum before going back to chewing it.
Devotee narrowed his eyes slightly. "Glad to know you're ready but they ain't my toys. They're my gang."
"Cult," Amen deadpanned.
It was Devotee's turn to roll his eyes, and then he continued to speak. "I'm here for another deal."
Amen shoved his hands into his black jean pockets, preparing himself. "'Course you are. What do you want?"
"There's a new girl coming to school today," Devotee started. "I want you to learn more about her."
Amen narrowed his eyes. "I'm not one of your pawns. Get someone else in your cult to do it."
Devotee stopped leaning on the locker and straightened himself to glare lightly at Amen.
"All my seniors are busy. This new girl is a senior and I don't want any of my other people finding out about her when they're not in the same grade as her."
Ah, yes. Devotee had eyes all over the school, in every grade. Quite freaky, if you think about it.
Amen withheld the urge to scowl. "What's so special 'bout this new girl? Ya scared of her?"
Devotee scoffed. "Hell no. But she's interesting. She came from a different country."
Amen blinked. "Ah, I see."
Devotee looked at something beyond Amen, biting his lip.
He then returned his gaze back to him, saying, "I'm giving you a week."
Amen sighed quietly and nodded. "Fine."
Devotee's smirk reappeared. "Great."
Amen then stopped him before he could walk away.
"Wait, how the hell am I supposed to find this new girl?" he pointed out bluntly.
Devotee paused. "Oh, right. She's easy to spot. Dark skin, brown hair, gold nose ring."
Amen nodded.
Devotee then walked past Amen, his little group trailing after him.
Devotee then paused for a moment, glancing over his shoulder to look at Amen.
"Her name's Serqet."
