"What do you mean by what happened?" I frown and he sighs
"Well What I did...and us being close." He shrugs and I smile
"So being close with me...helps you feel your mate?" I ask and he nods, grinning
"You love her already don't you."
"Of course I do!" He beams
I chuckle and he hugs me
I squeak and he pulls away
"I'm sorry I'm just stupidly happy." He chuckles, running a hand through his hair
"I can tell, how often do you see your son in the future?"
"Not as often as I'd like but often." He breathes and I smile
"Wanna go outside? It's stuffy in here plus Jonah needs to sleep."
I kiss my mate's cheek and Zekil brings me downstairs.
He smiles at me
"I envy you're relationship with Jonah quite a bit, I wish my mate could be here already." He sighs and I frown
"I want that for you too Zekil. If I'm still alive when she is, I'd like to see you again."
"I hope I won't leave for awhile." He says and I grip his hand
He smiles at me and I grin back
We walk outside and the wind blows my hair
"So how's being a mother treating you?"
"Truthfully? It's terrifying. Jonah's been busy and Malik gets sick so easily...Why do you ask?"
"My mate, she's a wolf, I just want to know more about pregnancy and being a mother so I can help her." He frowns and I smile
"That's sweet Zekil." I smile and he grins
"She's very delicate from what I gather, I just...What was it like for you?" He asks and I smile
"It wasn't too bad, I just got extremely tired towards the end, it got really rough if Jonah was gone." I muse and he nods
"Allow me to show you my son again?"He asks and I nod
He ground crumbles beneath me and I see Zekil once more.
Raik clings to his dads hand
"Where's mommy?" He sniffles
"I told you buddy, she's still at the hospital. Don't worry."
He whimpers and Zekil smiles
"She's with your sister you know."
"I know but I miss mommy." He frowns
"I do too." Zekil whispers
We arrive back and Zekik seems heartbroken.
"I can't see any further than that, I don't know what happens to my mate. Or my daughter."
"I'm sorry Zekil. I hope they're okay, and I'm sorry to begin this up but Jonah saw us on the couch. We need to think about him." I frown and he pales
"He didn't see...well- the kiss, right?"
"No he didn't and don't think it's in our best interest to tell him."
"I agree, and I'm sorry I did that...I was just so alone...and you're so similar." He says, tucking my hair behind my ear
I shudder as my heart races
I hear a faint wail coming from the house
"That's Malik." I whisper and he smiles
"Go. I'll see you again soon." He says and I hurry back inside.
I see Jonah stir so I quickly pick up my son.
"Shhh Malik, Dadda is sleeping." I coax him and he continues to cry
I kiss his head and feed him.
I prefer privacy when I do this but Jonah is sleeping anyway.
I yawn and after half an hour, he finally relaxes and I put him down.
"Let me go to bed." I whimper at put Malik down
I slip into bed and Jonah tugs me tight to his chest
He mumbles into my hair and I breathe out
Something feels wrong. So very wrong...
I want Jonah to wake up, to open his eyes, for us to smile and laugh like we used to.
I'm not ready for things to change.
I sniffle and his eyes open wide
"Eden?" He rasps and I hug him tight, sobbing into his shoulder
"Babygirl what's wrong?" He rubs my back and I cry again
"I love you."
"Princess I love you too, what happened?"
"Something isn't right, something is different and I hate it." I sob
"Eden darling..." he frowns and I shake my head
"It's not Malik. It's us." I sniffle
"Why don't we take some time away then? Once Malik is tiny bit older he can stay with Sandy." He says and I nod
"I don't know if I could leave him." I frown
"I know baby." He pulls me close and I close my eyes
Maybe one of these days I'll feel like myself again.
I yawn and wake up
"Morning mommy wolf," Jonah says and I look around for him.
I see him holding Malik close to his heart, sitting by the window. He looks at me and I smile.
"Morning Jonah." I say, crawling out of bed.
"We agreed we should let you sleep. He wasn't fussing so I don't think he's hungry yet." He smiles as I wander over to him
"Thank you baby." I smile
"Of course." He grins and I kiss him softly
I pick up Malik from his arms and Jonah kisses my head
"I'll let you nurse in peace." He smiles
"Thank you." I smile and Jonah touches Malik's nose
Malik instantly grips Jonah's finger softly and I smile
He chuckles and leaves the room
Malik whines and I rub his back
I feed him and yawn.
"I hope you have a mate that loves you as much I love your father, and he loves me. I hope you grow up and be a great Alpha. For all I care you don't even need to be an Alpha. I just want you to be happy I whatever you do."
