"Okay," Rosalina explained. "It's quite impossible at this point for Luigi to be guilty, due to his injury and attempt to save Bowser despite it. Therefore, Yoshi is ruled out too, due to the two of them being together the whole night."

Toad nodded in agreement. "She's right. Plus, I don't see either of us two killing either. Therefore the killer needs to be someone we once presumed dead. Otherwise none of this makes sense in any way. I guess our only choice is to go an investigation around the house."

"Ahem..." Luigi fake coughed, pointing at his ankle. "And how exactly am I meant to walk around like this?"

Yoshi thought for a second before realising what they'd have to do. "We'll have to split into 2 groups again. I'll go with Rosa and Toad, you stay here with Luigi."

Luigi nodded to Toad as the smaller of the two sat down as a greeting gesture. He silently observed Toad, being able to easily tell that he wanted to be out investigating.

"Go with them," the plumber smiled. "I'll be fine here."

"No," Toad said, shooting Luigi an assuring look. "I'm staying here. I know you don't want to be left alone and I'm in the mood to be a good friend."

The injured man smiled appreciatively at his small friend, who pulled his thumb up and smirked back.

But Luigi was right. Toad kinda loved the thrill of looking for whilst avoiding certain death. He wanted to be hunting down the killer's identity with the other two, but he also knew that Luigi was desperate to have someone around for him. Considering his sprained ankle that had been pretty freshly made worse, the small mushroom-headed man could understand why. Luigi wasn't exactly in the best condition to fight off a killer and they both knew it.

Yoshi and Rosalina decided to check out the upstairs again, looking for the bodies of the three people who died, Peach in particular. Luigi and Yoshi told Bowser, Rosalina and Toad about them not finding her body so they've got their eyes especially peeled for her.

"So, where about did she die?" Rosalina asked.

"Well, that's the other thing..." Yoshi sighed. "We don't know. We were in the study looking for clues and then we just noticed she was gone. I guess we just assumed she was dead."

"She's not..." the taller of the two blankly stated. "In murder mysteries, the killer is always assumed dead but the body is never found. It all makes sense now..."

"Wait a minute..." Yoshi said quietly, pondering what Rosalina was going to say next.

"It seems so obvious..." Rosalina continued.

"She doesn't think..." Yoshi said, a little louder.

"It was the only logical conclusion..." the 6ft 1 woman continued yet again.

"No... surely not..." the dinosaur gasped.

"Peach is the killer!" Rosalina exclaimed. "It all comes together like a beautiful tapestry. Gory, but beautiful."

"Rosa, you're out of your mind," Yoshi warned. "Peach wouldn't do such a thing."

"Neither would any one of us, usually," Rosalina sighed. "But it's happening and someone is at fault. Look, I'll make you a deal. I'm gonna count down from 5 and if I don't get killed at 1, I'll believe you. 5, 4, 3, 2-"

As she said 2, a katana had sliced her in half vertically. Her remains drooped down to the floor like banana peel. Yoshi had a horrified look plastered on his face as he bolted down to the living room and screamed whilst crying, "Rosalina's dead!!"

Well guys, that's it for this chapter. Only three people left now, who will survive?
