Woah, it's weird not having a tally on this story anymore... well enjoy!
None of the survivors could sleep, even after reaching Peach's castle, for separate reasons. Yoshi was too focused on minimalizing his blood loss as much as possible, Peach became very wary of everything around her and Luigi was racked with guilt. His brother may have been a killer, but killing him made Luigi one too. The green clad plumber was probably the most effected mentally by the events that had just transpired, he couldn't rest the lingering thought that he had his own family's blood on his hands. He killed Mario. He killed the hero and protector of the Mushroom Kingdom. All that was going through his brain was how horrible a person he must've been to kill his own brother.
The next morning, Yoshi was properly bandaged up and he could walk at least semi properly without the aid of Luigi. He decided to wear a hoodie to hide his bandage because he felt insecure about getting shot, he hated the fact that he was the only survivor who sustained a physical injury. He felt weak, like he wasn't worthy of his status of a survivor. The previous night had taken a severe toll on the dinosaur mentally too, he had watched all of his friends fall one by one to the killers and saw his best friend have to put a bullet through his brother's skull to end to horror. His wound was better after being patched up, but his psyche wasn't.
Princess Peach gave a speech to the people of the Mushroom Kingdom at early afternoon. Everyone was gathered for what was labelled by the royal guard as an urgent public announcement outside the castle walls, and the three survivors were stood on the balcony together, hand in hand. The Princess told the citizens exactly what had transpired during the night before, and Luigi and Yoshi recapped what Peach had missed due to being kidnapped. A memorial was held shortly after, even for Mario and Daisy; despite being the perpetrators. The happenings of the night of November 27th 2019 were labelled as a terrorist attack by the Mushroom Kingdom Police Department, before they gave legal authorisation to Luigi and Yoshi to partake in one last activity at the Mario Brothers household: burning it to the ground. The two gathered outside the wooden structure with a Molotov cocktail and a lighter.
"You sure you want to do this, Weeg?" Yoshi asked. "This is your home."
"Was," Luigi blankly stated, staring at his and Mario's lifelong abode. "I can't call it my home anymore, too much awfulness has infected the good memories of the place. It's just a house now... and it's about to be ashes."
Yoshi still looked unsure, but gave Luigi the lighter. "Alright, whatever you say."
Luigi focused intently on the Molotov as he lit it before throwing it into his old house, bodies inside. After a few intense seconds of waiting, the house was set ablaze by the explosion of the improvised bomb. The two friends watched as they saw the building with everything inside burn and eventually turn into ashes in a display akin to Star Wars: A New Hope. Once the last remnants of Luigi's previous home had blown away in the wind, a bunch of gravestones were placed down by the survivors: one for each of the friends and loved ones they'd lost during the torturous night they barely escaped themselves. Luigi placed the last one down and shed a sombre tear as he read it.

A loving friend, daring hero and compassionate brother
R.I.PAnd that is one of two epilogue chapters done! The next one will take place one year after the tragedy and will go over how the survivors' lives have changed since that faithful night, featuring a prominent appearance by a certain lazy skeleton. Once the second epilogue chapter is out, this story will be officially complete and depending on how that one and this one are received, I might start a non-murdery Mario story with these guys.
One last thing, I'd like to say a HUGE thank you for over 500 reads. This story is by far my best performing one and I hope that some of you will consider checking out some of my other stories like my Total Drama World Tour Halfway Remix, which I plan to grind to completion next. I hope everyone is enjoying and I hope you all like the final chapter of this story. Bye!!
