The Waiting Room

Shawn pov

I've been waiting for what felt like years as Regan was in surgery. All I can't think about is, will she be ok?

I texted my parents letting them know what happened and informing them about me having to stay the night at the hospital to make sure that Regan was ok.

After another 40 minutes passed by, the doctor finally came out of the Surgery room and walked up to me. "Hello i assume you are here in care for Regan Gilinsky?" He asked. I nodded, "is she ok?"

"Well, you see, the car had collided into her right side causing the impact to fracture a couple of bones in her ribs, dislocate her patella (knee) and she hit her head pretty hard which cause a coma to take place." He explained. I stood there, frozen, what the hell do I do?

"We'll be wheeling her into her room shortly. If you would like, one of the nurses can show you to the room Regan will be in?" The doctor offered but all I was able to do was nod.

By the time I got inside the room, I pulled out my phone and dialed Jack's number but it went straight to voice mail. I explained everything through the call and just waited for Regan to appear in the room.

Soon enough she was brought into the room still unconscious laying in the medical bed. As the nurses left the room while shutting the door behind them, I slowly stood up to my feet and walked over to Regan's bed side.

I looked at her face slightly marked with small scratches. Bruises and scraped
Layered across her arms. I took her hand and laced our figures together as I sat in the seat next to her bed. She's still beautiful, no matter what
