Ch: 3000 Miles Away

Jack pov
We finally arrived back home from Canada. Regan was so silent on the flight, on the car ride, and now. I pulled up to the driveway and before I could turn off the car engine, Regan had already stepped out and got her bags from the back. She limped past me looking down at her feet in order to avoid eye contact. I tapped her shoulder as she past by me which cause her to stop next to me. She refused to look at me. "Regan, let me help-" I stopped mid way through my sentence when she interrupted me. "Stop it, haven't you hurt me enough already? I think it's best we keep our distance until I can figure out everything." Regan mumbled And continued limping into the house. Now, it was my turn to look down at my feet. I went to grab my bags out of the car and make my way inside the house. 'Man, I really fucked up this time....'

Regan pov
After spending 6 minutes of limping up the stairs with my bags, I finally got to my room and closed my door. 'Finally, isolated from Jack...' I thought in relief. My knee was killing me so I quickly changed into some pajamas, brushed my teeth and all that jazz, and plopped down on my bed. I checked the clock on my night stand and it was already 2:08am. My phone vibrated against my nightstand and picked it up to see Shawn texted me.
Shawn-hey r u ok?
-did u get home safely?
Me-hey and yea, we're home now
Shawn-good, I'm gonna face time you
Before I could even respond to his text, his FaceTime request was already glowing against my cell phone screen. I sat up in bed answered his call. Shawn's face appeared on my screen. "Hey..." He sighed. "Hi. I think we should just cut to the point-" I began but he finished my sentence for me. "What are we now?" I nodded. "Yeah... I mean we can try a long distance relationship?" I suggested. "Regan, we're over 3000 miles away from each other. And I don't think I could handle it." He disagreed. "Well, I can't handle my life without you in it." I began to argue very slightly. "It's not gonna work even if we tried." Shawn made a good point. " so we're breaking up." I sighed. It was difficult to admit but it was the obvious thing to do. "It's the only choice we've got left." Shawn nodded. "Okay... Good bye Shawn...." I said with a tear slipping out from the corner of my eye. "Bye Regan..."

Literally, tears are threatening to pour from my eyes now😭 this chapter was so difficult to type without having some sort of feeling of depression.

Anyways I'm gonna be at my mom's house again and starting school....yay me!!!
