Ally that lie

I was in my office. It was good that April had returned back. And now I can easily focus on the biggest problem of my life. But as she told me last night. She is ready to accept the position of my wife in my life. So, I decided to call everyone around, and announce my marriage. April still haven't recovered yet fully she was still in the ICU.

But I think a little get together will cheer my sister up. God knows she and all of us could use some positivity in our life. I called Katie and told her about the plan. She assured me that she will arrange everything. That was a relief now all I need to do is call them in. It is good that April was now in her home. Ezra refuse to let her go. Iris volunteered to take care of her. I am glad she there when I am not.

After tonight my soul purpose will be taking down my father and nothing else. until he is alive and clicking I cannot breathe in the same air, it stench of cunningness is obstructing my air way, Only for tonight, I want to become a family man. I want to spend this night in company of my family. Only person who will miss this will be my mother. This all happened in a haste. All of this happened so quickly. I didn't even get to tell her about all this. She might be very worried. I might just call her after this.

"All done, set for tonight." Katie said. "Thank you, Katie." I said. "No Sam, thank you for returning back here and saving all of us from the financial trouble. All the employees are so grateful. They really adore you Sam." I smiled. "I have done what a good boss would have done for them. It wasn't their fault it was mine. So, they need not to suffer for this." I said.

"I understand" She said. "So, you are coming with David, right? I couldn't have done it without you. And David how is he doing the job?" I asked. "His job is interesting." She said not betraying anything else. I know just why as I said this could be very place where all our secrets had been leaked. So we have to be very careful to what details we will share here.

"See you tonight at the house Sir?" Katie asked politely. "Very well as you wish, I will like your presence in my house" I told her. And then I walked away. I need to visit my sister, she how she was doing also wanted to aske her what she wanted to tell me about when she sedated. This little information maybe a key of figuring out how April was so easily snuck out of the hospital with so much security.

I drove towards their house. Ezra was at home as I suspected he would. I have told him about the plans for tonight. Safe to say he was delighted to hear them. He wanted to celebrate his precious little Gem. And I wonder if it is the same person who had blackmailed my sister once. He now loves her so much; it is really difficult to think they had been on each other's throat at a moment.

But now, things are different so different they were before. I walked inside the nursery to see my darling niece was in her crib unfortunately she needs helps in breathing, her lungs are still very much underdeveloped. But she can recognize everyone thankfully. Rosa was sitting by her side smiling and reading her a story. I like how she is doing this. Her motherly nature reminds me of my own mother.

"Sam... you came" And she hugged me tightly. Her eyes begin to water. I don't know why I feel like I have failed her big time. I wanted to tell her that it will all be alright. But I don't know myself what is the definition of alright. I don't know myself, if I can myself make everything alright. I so don't know anything.

"It is alright hermana, I am here, I am here next to you." I told her. " I don't know why it is happening to us hermano, what have we did wrong? Why cannot these things stop happening to us? Why cannot we be happy? When April was gone, I thought this is this...and now when she returned no one can tell me if she will be safe. If she won't be taken away from me."

Oh rosa, I wish I could tell you that it will not happen but even I cannot get the assurance myself, how am I going to assure you about the same?

'It's ok Rosa, I am here, and I promise nothing can ever harm April when I am here. I will protect her as a good uncle would. She is my family; nothing can harm my family on my watch" I kissed her forehead. If to protect her I have to leave my good side behind so be it. I will do it. I will do whatever it takes to keep the promise I made to my sister.

I decided to organize the party in their mansion so we all can greet baby April properly and yes, introduce my wife to the family. I saw Lucian's car stop at the gates and he walked out as usual alone. But I am glad he did come. I wonder how he manages to see the woman he loves with all his heart with a person he hates most.

His own brother. I don't know how it works at all. And how he copes up. I may never ever understand Lucian Night. "I am glad you came Night," "I am not here to hear your news I know already about your secret, I am here for her." I wanted to hug her for being so strong even in such a impossible unwinnable situation. But I know very well that he doesn't want me to console him. He just wish to be of assistance anyway he can. And who am I to stop him from doing so?

I saw him talking to Ezra and then walking towards my sister. He hugged her tightly. I averted my gaze feeling I was interrupting something very much private. Something very much intimate, I do now wish to be a part of. But what baffled me was how Iris still wasn't showing up. I thought she would be the first one to do so. But still she is a no show.

And she wasn't picking up her phone too, That had made me wonder what if something bad had happened to her? What if ... I felt someone holding my shoulder and I saw Katie and David looking at me curiously. "You alright Sam? You look worried." I nodded. "Iris is MIA, I thought I have told her the venue myself personally I wonder why she isn't coming yet. I wonder if something had happened. She isn't even picking up her phone, I have left a dozen of text and messages on her phone already. I am getting worried."

Katie smiled. "She will be here don't worry, probably some case had come up and she need to attained it." Sounds logical but right now many things are happening that is proving very well that my logic had started to fail me little by little. "Here this will calm you down. She will be here Sam I know that. "

I hope she is alright

My prayers had been answered when she had walked in. And she was wearing everything I like in her. Simple yet very beautiful. She defines the concept of beautiful. "You came" She smiled but something wad very wrong with her. I can feel it. She was afraid about something. "What happened baby, are you alright?" I asked her. She nodded.

"Want to meet April?" "S...sure" She shuttered. What happened to her? I want to know so bad now. "Inviting her in only Son?" I was taken aback by his sudden appearance of him. "It is a family gathering and you have forgot you father? What kind of Son are you?" he asked. "I am not your son and you are not welcomed here." I said. I didn't wanted my sister to see him. "What are you doing here Mr. Prince?" I heard my sister's voice. "Came to see how my granddaughter was doing. Daughter, Now as I recall I am the only grandfather she have,"

My sister was getting angrier by the second. "I wanted to see how she was doing after returning back from a very special place I have took her." My suspicions were correct he was behind all this. "But can you blame me? I just wanted to spend some quite time with my grand daughter." "You..." He stopped me and hold my hand. "No, no Son, there is a surprise awaiting for you too in this"

"I don't want any..." "Don't you want to know how your hospital so precious to you had caught fire?" he played a clip in his phone. There it was the missing footage but what I saw in it doesn't made any sense. "I couldn't have done it alone without my dear, dear Iris. She is the only one who was loyal to me from biggining."

Tell me he is not right Iris, I cannot believe over a word he tells. "Iris tell him how you loved playing this game and you had so much fun." To my surprise he pulled her to him and kissed her. That filthy man... how dare he... and why isn't she protesting. "Tell him, how you are doing it all according to my plan darling." I pulled her away.

"Baby, he is wrong you didn't do it, you can never hurt me this way. I know you baby. Tell me it is all a lie. Tell me baby, it is all a lie." She kept looking down not saying a word.
