A small tap on the arm awoke Richie at around eight AM. The boy above him peered down and smiled at him, Richie loved that. "You need to hide," Eddie stated, the smirk never leaving his face. The boy took his glasses and pushed them up onto the bridge of his nose.
Eddie's closet was quite a large one. Richie found it ironic that he was yet again hiding in another closet, people had always said that he couldn't be in two places at once. They were wrong. There was a small crack in the wood that he could peer out of to see the other boy.
"Eddie bear! Have you taken your medication this morning?" The woman ran into the room. The raven-haired boy clenched his fists and bared his teeth. He hated her with a burning passion of a thousand suns. Always trying to make Eddie take meds and shit like that. Richie didn't want him to die thinking he was ill and scared of the world, he wanted him to live...
"Yes mommy, I did," he lied. Eddie hated calling her mommy, if he could he would call her bitch. But he couldn't. "Well, I'm going to go out to town, stay safe, and... Don't leave this house. It's dangerous out there." She turned her back and left. Richie was so out of it that he didn't notice Eddie standing right in front of him, "Rich you can come out now,"
They sat on Eddie's bed, "Well, what do we do now?" The petite boy asked.
"Well, you can't leave the house so, I'm not too sure," That was the only answer Richie could think of. "Hey Richie, can you sing?" Eddie questioned, scratching at his arm. "I-I guess but I don't very often."Eddie sighed. "Okay, how about... I sing too then." It eased Richie to know Eddie would join in too. He stood up and held out his hand, "Okay, deal." Eddie went to shake it when the other boy pulled him up onto his feet and wrapped an arm around his waist. "There," Eddie stared in amazement when Richie opened his mouth.
"Here comes the sun and I say it's alright..." Eddie began to sing along too, his voice just as sweet. By the time they had finished, their faces were inches apart. They were giggling like two drunk idiots and couldn't stop. "I-I didn't k-know you could sing so well!" Richie laughed out. Eddie's face turned a slight red but still he managed to look into the taller boys eyes. "And I didn't know you could dance so well," Eddie chuckled.
