Pen touched paper.
Dear Diary,
Do I need help? Am I addicted to him? I just... I can't get him out of my mind. His swooping black hair and his stupid glasses... makes my heart skip like, seven hundred beats. Sometimes I think I'm going crazy... There's always a part of me that just wants to grab his face and kiss him. But I'm scared. He's in the shower as I'm writing this so I should probably hurry it up. I don't want him finding this, he'll never shut up about it. If he ever does read this, Richie, I think I love you. You're amazing, and beautiful... you're perfect. Being your friend was the best thing I've ever done... Also, I think you're bedhead hair is really cute.
He stopped his writing and placed the notebook under the bed. "That sounded stupid..." Eddie grumbled to himself. "What did?" The taller boy chuckled from around the corner, hair dripping wet. "I- uh, nothing." He replied quickly. A blush spread across his face, Richie's hair was amazing... He stared in awe. Richie sat down, his clothes creating against his body. "Here," Eddie said, handing Richie his glasses. "Thanks Eds," he leant down and pecked the smaller boy on the forehead. He had been doing that a lot ever since Eddie had started staying over.
Eddie looked into Richie's eyes, the dark chocolate brown that swirled around his pupil. Black hair hung I front of them as Richie stared back. "You look... Pretty..." The brown-haired boy whispered. "You think so? I've always been told I was a rather weird looking kid." Richie laughed, still keeping his eyes fixed on Eddie's. The small boy lifted his hand and punched away the black curls from his best friends face. "No... you're beautiful..." He smiled, lowering his head to face to sheets of the bed.
"You're cute too spaghetti," Richie placed his arms around Eddie comfortably and held him there for a minute. "How are your... you know," He suggested. "Hurts a little but I think they're getting better," he sighed happily, slipping his arms around the taller boys torso. "Do you want me to make you breakfast again? How about those waffles?" Eddie smiled and buried his head in Richie's shoulder. "I'd like that..." He whispered. Richie stood up, smiled at him softly, and left the room.
The journal was out again for one last sentence,
You know what. Screw it. I'm madly in love with him.
