☆ Eight ☆

The day had gone by quickly. Neither of the two knew what had actually happened. All they knew was that they were lying on the floor, Eddie asleep whilst Richie just stared at the ceiling. The fan in the room cooled the boys down, although Richie's face still burnt furiously. Eddie looked adorable to him. He had his arms wrapped under his body and was resting his head on a pillow he had pulled from the bed.

Richie stood up and started to walk to the bathroom. He was reluctant to leave Eddie at first, what if he woke up and thought Richie had just left? But, when the curly-haired boy stared at the other one, he knew he was in deep slumber. Halfway down the hallway he heard something. The door opened.

Richie froze. A million thoughts filled his head. Would she find him? What would happen then? Would he ever see Eddie again? He darted towards Eddie's door and swung it open. "Eddie wake up," Richie tapped the boy on the shoulder. Eddie jolted up and looked at his friends scared face. "You okay?" He asked innocently. "I have to go, your mom's home." Richie said as he made his way to the window.

Eddie stood in the corner with a sad expression plastered on his face. Richie sighed and gave a soft smile, put his feet back on the floor and stepped towards him. "I had a good time Eds," Richie leant down and pressed a small kiss to Eddie's cheek. The boys face flushed up as the kid jumped down out of the window.

"Eddie bear! I'm home." His mother shrieked. Eddie didn't turn around, he just stood frozen in awe. "Eddie bear? Are you alright?" Her voice trembled. He shot around and looked at her. "O-oh yeah." He stammered. "Just watching the clouds, ya know?" His mother looked at him and nodded. "Why is there a pillow on the floor? And why are you so red?"

Eddie knew what she was getting at. "I had a friend over," He said. Didn't help his case. "A... friend." She looked him dead in the eyes. "Yeah, a friend. It wasn't a girl." His mother turned around and stood in the doorframe. "Dinner will be ready soon." She grumbled. Once she had left, Eddie shut his door, picked up his pillow and put it back on the bed. His fingers lingered where Richie had kissed him... He couldn't wait to see him again.
