Tony has never been the type to get so drunk he stumbled. In fact, no matter how drunk he was, he still managed to deliver amazing speeches. I had crossed my fingers that today would be no exception of that.

"This girl...." Tony raised his glass in my direction, "was pure hell to live with. Her husband was even worse. Remember New York? Do you?" He raised his eyebrows.

I glanced at Loki beside me, who twitched a single eyebrow and didn't respond.

"You do." Tony looked to the 'audience'. "I remember New York. Mr. High and Mighty decided to play dominoes with my city. The government wanted to play hide-and-seek with a nuclear bomb. I played too, just....switched up the rules a little bit. Now, this was all Reigndeer Game's fault-"

Loki leaned over to whisper in my ear, "I was hoping he'd refrain from calling me nicknames at an event like this."

I squeezed his cold hand. "You're not that lucky, my dear."

He just shrugged loosely.

"I wasn't happy to walk into my kitchen those many months ago and find them chest to chest." Tony looked into his glass as if he'd find the rest of his speech in it. "I let him live."

"Yeah right," Steve said.

Tony glared at him warningly.  "I let him live. I think they're good for each other. Maybe now I wont have to deal with her as much, she'll be so busy seeking the approval of the in laws."

I rolled my eyes.

"I love you kid," Tony seemed to sober up. "Alright? Now, I do not love Ice Cube over there but he does love you. So I think now I'll share a memory of eight year old her."

"Oh." I stood up. "I think you're done."

He laughed as Steve helped him off his soap box.

I waved lightly to everyone staring at me, gathered around their tables with delicate champagne glasses in their hands. "Hello everyone. I wanted to say thank you for coming to my wedding, for putting aside your differences so we could do this. It means a lot."

Everyone clapped.

"My..." I looked down to Loki, "husband wouldn't really want to speak, as against-character as that is....so I will. I have no clue what's going to happen tomorrow, or the next day, or next year. But I can promise you I will always make sure we make it work. I promise you will always have a supporter in me. Always."

Loki smiled softly, and everyone erupted into cheers.

"Now enjoy the music, drinks, and food. We love you." I sat down while the music kicked up.

Loki hooked an arm around my neck, bringing my face close to kiss me softly. "That was a hell of a speech my love."

I rolled my eyes. "But you could've done better, huh?"

He nodded. "Oh definitely."

"You love me?" I asked in the tiniest whisper.

"Always," he said, "and forever."

"No matter what..." i murmured, kissing his cheek.

"Now come dance." He stood, and I followed, thinking about forever.

"How long does forever mean for you?" I asked, placing a hand on Loki's shoulder.

He grabbed my hand up in his, swiftly and gracefully moving us along the warmly lit dance floor. "Well, I will live a very long time, so I guarantee you it's a long time."
