to celebrate the end of the sick-Minhee-caring-Joochan arc here's another extra!!!!! (why do i feel like yall hate my extras HAHAHHA bc it's just my lame excuse for not uploading the chapters KSKSKS)

Jaehyun taps his foot impatiently while looking at the board and his watch frantically back to back. The bell had already rung fifteen minutes ago, and the professor just came in in their class.

"Are there any absentees?" The teacher asks.

Nobody responds for a moment as they look around their room.

"Sir, Mr. Hong and Ms. Han aren't here yet," one student replies. "But they were here during the first period."

The teacher raises his eyebrows. "I see. If they don't show up for the first half of the period then I'll mark them as absent."

Where are they?

Jaehyun is so sure everyone is asking the same question, although theirs are laced with curiosity (and a hint of a growing gossip to talk about) and his is curiosity with a hint of jealousy.

And Jaehyun hated it.

Why should I be bothered by this? It may be just coincidental.

He sighs and shakes his head in an attempt to forget it. I'm sure they're fine.

Bomin goes straight for their table during lunch time, but halts when all he sees is his team mate, Jaehyun. He places down the tray of food on the table as he sits down, and with a questioning glance at Jaehyun, he asks, "Where are they?"

"They apparated," Jaehyun munches on his lunch boringly, staring off. "Without a word."

"Huh," Bomin huffs. "Nobody knows what's up?"

Jaehyun nods, unable to speak because of his full mouth.

Bomin pulls out his phone and pressed his cousin's number. After a few rings, the call ended. "I can't reach him."

Jaehyun stares off into the distance. "My head is aching from thinking all sorts of things they might be doing."

Bomin perks at his senior's comment. "Oh? Like what?"

"Ah! Joochan!"

"Sorry, I'll try to be more gentle."

"If you push harder, I'm really gonna scream."

With a big huff, I reach out my hand once more to tap my toes with my fingertips (without bending my knees) and succeed. I retract and let out a satisfied sigh. "Finally, that's 20."

"Weak."

"I don't know why it's so fucking hard to reach my goddamn toes."

"I swear, stretching won't make your fever go away instantly," Joochan rolls his eyes and sits down on his bed beside me.

"I don't care, my mom always used to reach her toes when she has a fever. She tells me it makes her forget that she's sick or something." I smile wistfully. "But in my case it just makes me stressed."

"So why do it?"

"I just miss my mom." I smile forcefully. Joochan looks at me, worried. I don't even know whether what I said was true or not, but I know that saying it bothered me. Maybe there was a bit of truth in it. Just maybe.

"Hmm, you know what? I'm getting hungry. I'll go cook something for myself." Joochan changes the subject. I'm actually relieved that he did, since I didn't want to get sappy all over something that happened years ago. "You want some?"

I give a thumbs up. "I can't say no to food."

"But you just had soup after you just woke up a while ago. Aren't you full already?"

"It's fine, it won't hurt to eat a little more," I say wistfully, drooling. After him mentioning he was hungry, I couldn't help but crave some more food now. Do sick people even tend to eat a lot? Maybe it's just me.

"Okay, then. I guess it's better if you eat a lot. Then you can go back to your chubby days," Joochan laughs as he goes out of the room.

aaaaaand that's it :DDD
