"Minhee," Jaehyun calls out to me, serious. He rarely addresses me by my name. Is something wrong? "Remember you still need to pay me back for tutoring you?"

"Oh, right." I stop what I was doing and face him. "Have you thought of anything yet?"

He nods. "I have. Meet me after school later?"

"Okay."

He goes back to his seat, sighing while blankly staring at the window. Did he sleep on the wrong side of the bed this morning? He seems out of character, not like the happy-go-lucky Jaehyun I am acquainted with.

He brought the payment up since the exam results have been already announced. Of course, both Jaehyun and Joochan dominated the top scores, as to be expected. Fortunately, for me, I passed them all. Barely. But the fact remains that my grades won't be disappointed in me for now. Although Mr. Ahn sighed deeply at the first sight of my scores, he was still proud at the little improvement in my exams.

It was all good as the little treat I gave my dogs did wonders. If I didn't pass the test, it would've been a consolation treat. Luckily, it was an advance celebratory hang out. We did send the selfies to the groupchat and Jaehyun was furious. Especially since his sibling was already at home; his mother already took him because his little brother had waited for too long already.

I was in a daze, just daydreaming about random things. It's during times like these where I needed that damn doodle notebook.

The professor finally comes from the door, setting down all her things on the table. Guess I'll have to worry about stuff later.

The bell rang and soon enough, the students flocked the hallways, eager to leave hell—school. Joochan informed me a while ago he'll be going to the student council office first so he won't be joining us. Bomin also went out first, saying he had something to do.

Jaehyun and I were alone together.

But it's not like it's bothering me. Yet. Of course, it did feel empty without the other two idiots, but I'm okay if it's Jaehyun. He's comfortable to talk to. Like a pillow.

I snort at the thought.

"Why? Is there something funny?" Jaehyun gives me a look after hearing me.

I shake my head. "No, nothing."

I gave a questioning glance at him when I realize we were heading towards the pavilion. What were we doing here? Since the pavilion was located at the back of the main building of the university, it was pretty secluded, especially now since it's already dismissal. Why did he want to go here?

Jaehyun goes ahead first, immediately sitting down on the ground of the pavilion. He motions for me to sit down beside him, too. With a curious stare, I follow him, taking my seat on the floor beside him.

It was too quiet for it to be comfortable.

"So..." I drag out, trying to break the silence. "Why aren't you sayinng anything?"

"Let me gather my thoughts first."

Huh. "Okay."

So we sit there for five more grueling minutes, sharing in the umcomfortable silence. The students scrrying around the university are getting lesser and lesser. I was starting to get iritated from not being able to do or say anything, but finally, Jaehyun speaks up.
