Chapter One: Luna and Hermione

-Hermione-

Hermione's in the Library, finding a new book to read. She eventually gave up and pulled her favorite book, Hogwarts: A history. She opened it and pressed her face into the book, focusing on it. She was just getting to the good part when she felt someone joined her.

She looked up and saw Luna Lovegood, a
Ravenclaw. She was reading her Quibbler, it was a new one. Her dad probably mailed it to her. Hermione thought. She cleared her throat and starts to speak up.

"Hello there, Luna" a smile was formed in Hermione's lips. "Hello, Hermione" Luna replied as she return a smile. "Luna? Is that a new quibbler?" She asks, Hermione never had an interest in the Quibbler, she thought it was nonsense.

-Luna-

Luna was surprised when Hermione asked about the Quibbler, she had always thought it was nonsense. "Yes, My dad mailed it to me, would you like to read one?" Luna asks, it was pathetic. She knew Hermione would refuse but this time it's different.

"I'd like one! Thank you, Luna" Hermione smiled at the dirty blonde and happily read it with her. Luna was more surprised when she agreed to take one.

Hermione read it peacefully whilst Luna stared at bushy-haired girl. She shrugged and put her wand behind her ear. She didn't know why she had brought her wand but she knew it was for self-defense when the Slytherins try to tease her.

"Hermione?" Luna asked,
"Yes?" Hermione replied.
"I was wondering why you're joining me in reading the Quibbler" Luna asked sheepishly.
"So you can have someone to talk to when you're talking about it." Hermione smiled.
"Well, can I tell you a secret Hermione?" Luna asked seriously (SIRIUS-ly)
"You can tell me anything" Hermione reassured Luna.
"But, promise me you won't be surprised." Luna mutters.
"I promise." Hermione then raised her hand up and nodded.
"I-I don't really believe in those creatures, I just don't want to hurt my father's feelings." She uttered out the words. Hermione couldn't help but ask "What?!" And her expression in her face couldn't help but laugh at Hermione. "Well, it's true! Anyways, thank you for being here with me, Hermione." Luna explained as Hermione smile. "Not a problem, now, let's read!" Hermione exclaimed as Luna chuckled. The two had a wonderful time together in the library.
