Mai's POV
"And we are now arriving at Tokyo Narita Airport. Thank you for flying with Japan Airlines. I hope you enjoy your stay."
I'm finally here...
The announcement rang across the plane as the mass of people started to unbuckle their seat belts, re-adjusting themselves from their semi-permanent positions. I let out a little yawn and stretch out my limbs as much as I can. A 13 hour flight from London to Japan was never as pleasant as a shorter flight. At least I was able to get some sleep and work on my Japanese. Yes, sadly, my Japanese is rusty even though I was born in Japan.
A small sigh came out as I rubbed my eyes and I gently grasped the sliding window. I slowly slid it up to reveal the concrete airway. I squint my eyes from the sudden change in lighting and swiftly turn away from it. Faint images of the outside formed when I closed my eyes tight and open them to reveal that the person next to me was getting ready to go.
I gather up my pastel blue and pink backpack and I slung it around my left shoulder. I put my phone, which was briefly kept in one of the pouches in the seat in front of me, into the back pocket of my loose jogging bottoms. I clip my neck pillow around my forearm, grasping it like a teddy. I also dug my earphones and my hands into pockets of my oversized jumper. Well not mine, but my brother's.
Kuroo Tetsurō.
He's going to freak out when he finds out I'm coming back to Japan. My father and I have kept it a secret for a while. Tetsurō would always text either me or dad: asking how we are; if we are coming back to Japan; that him and Mum misses us.
With that thought, the person in front of me starts moving and starts opening the overhead storage to grab their carry-on. With a cheery smile, he also takes down my carry-on, which I politely say 'thank you' for and I exit into the isle. Slowly but surely I was near to the exit. The flight attendants also said their farewells to the passengers passing by the exit, which they all responded with a respectable thank you. I carefully drag my carry-on behind me as step out into the hallway which connected the plane to the airport.

The familiar sounds of the wheels rolling along the marble floor, circled the airport as the mass finally dispersed in different directions. It brings me back to the day that I left Japan 5 years ago.
I took a swift right and made my way to the arrival's area. I take my phone out of my pocket and check the time. I've changed it ahead on plane to the time here in Japan. The display flashed opened, and my focused onto the time. It read 13:26pm.
I couldn't help but take a quick glance down onto my locksceen wallpaper. It was a picture if me, my brother and Kenma when we were younger. I believe Kenma and I were 8 and Tetsurō was 9. Even though I was a month older than Kenma, he was always an older, protective twin brother to me (though he may not seem like it). After looking at us three, small flashes of our childhood ran across my mind...
I really can't wait to see them ~!
As I head towards the arrival gate, I walk past a couple of shops, from colourful to neutral. Soon, something that caught my eye was a shop which sold common Japanese snacks which, of course, I couldn't resist. I take two boxes of Pucca Chocolates and buy them. As soon as I left the store, I open it up and take a bite into the pretzel filled chocolate.
After wondering a bit, I found my way to the place to receive my large suitcase. I line up around the conveyor belt searching for my suitcase.
Another, after another, after another; I was finally able to see my large suitcase emerge from the side. The conveyor was quite slow, but at least I was able to keep track of where it was going. It soon turned the corner and I was able to free walk up and grab my grey marble suitcase. Heaving, I was able to haul it off the conveyor belt and roll it to the nearest exit with my carry-on as well.
*****
Going through customs was a drag though, it took quite a while but I was able to get out of the airport by around 2pm. Strolling with my carry-on and large suitcase with me, I went to Narita Airport Terminal 2·3 Station, where I was able to pay for a ticket. As I left, I dragged both of my suitcases along with me to where the crowd of people from airport was getting the train. I scanned my ticket and was able to get through the barricade.
As the train approached, I grasped my ticket and headed my way to the door. With the help of the person behind me, I got my large marble suitcase onto the train and into my compartment. I sat down in a seat, relatively close to the exit and plopped my backpack onto my lap. I grabbed my headphones and plugged them into my phone. Next stop, Ueno.
