[ An Insight Into The Future - 2016 ]"Yo Mai!" Leo called out, waving his hand enthusiastically towards the girl. With a soft smile, she wondered her way quickly over to him, "Damn it's been so longgg~"
"I know right, haha." Mai shyly replied, scratching her nape bashfully. Upon standing up from the bench, she knew what he was gonna do, "I've missed you so much, four years right?"
"Four years and three months." He reminded her, opening his arms and instantly encapsulating her to a heartfelt hug. 'Just the smell of his shirt brings back so many memories of high school...' She thought as she had gently placed her head against his chest. In response he placed his chin on her black hair and smiled. "Clingy as always, I see."
"You're one to talk." Mai's response was muffled by his white t-shirt and overlapping leather jacket. As a way to tease her, he slowly lifted her off the ground and spun as fast as he could. "Boy, will you not!"
"Heheh~" He giggled, feeling the serval mini punches from his back. There was a low grumble that she made which made him laugh and stop, "C'mon you miss doing that, right?"
"Idiot." She bluntly teased, giving him a punch to his upper arm. She walked towards the bench and sat down, whilst he followed and sat next to her.
"Oh really now?" He shook his dyed dirty platinum blonde hair at me. "Last time I remembered, you said you were the idiot."
"Oh yeah? When?" Taking another look at his hair, remembering the last time he saw it being the darkest shade of navy blue. To distract him from thinking about the time she called herself an idiot, she took it upon herself to lightly touch the ends of his hair, "Keep bleaching your hair this highlighter colour and I bet you'll go bald in under five years."
"What do you mean? I look sexy~" He countered, dramatically posing with his hand brushing through his hair. "Anyways, we didn't meet up just to talk about my perfectly healthy–"
"It's not."
"—hair." As she interrupted, he growled as a way to retort. But it left her giggling and calming herself to focus on what he was saying.
"Go on, I'll stop, promise!" She replied, her English kept flowing out so naturally, as if it never left.
"Good. So tell me about this company you've sacrificed you soul to~?" He asked, nudging her shoulder with wiggling eyebrows. She shook her head with a small chuckle and tucked her hair behind her ears. Just as she was about to say something, he then interjected with another thought coming to his mind, "Oh and who are those boys on your insta posts and snapchat?"
"One, it's not all bad, just the management is... questionable.. And two!" Mai slide a small expose at the entertainment company she worked at, but she then snapped back at his last question, "Those boys are my best friend. Yes believe it or not you're not my only best friend."
"No comparing me to them, I'm your best friend, one of them has to be your boyfriend. BET!" He pointed a finger at her as if he knew everything about her. But in some aspects, he could be right. "Maybe not the tall blonde glasses guy, he's too out of your league. So my bets on the one with dyed hair."
"I— Out of my league?! Annddd, y'know there's two with dyed hair–" She looked at him confused, and a small threatening squint in her eyes.
"The short haired one." He clicked his fingers, turning them into guns and her eyes widened. "I KNEW IT!"
"Leo, no what the f– Noya isn't my boyfriend so keep that filthy idea out of your mind. You know I don't have a boyfriend" She flicked him in the forehead and he continued to tease and laugh. "It's like if I dated you, ew."
