{Jay POV}

"Welcome to Mystic Falls, little bird." Niklaus threw both his arms up in the air. "The birthplace of the vampire species."

He was grinning ear to ear. I was just tired. Rebekah and I took turns driving from Texas. I barely got any shut eye. I looked around the town and pulled the sleeves of my hoodie over my hands. I wish I had worn jeans. It was night and cold out with a slight breeze in this quiet little town. Nik seemed a little on edge. Hes aura went from a calm yellow green to a muddy blood orange. Maybe the rumors were true about him...

He threw his arm around my shoulder and turned me to his sister who was sitting on the end of the van next to a temporary dead stefan, inspecting her nails. "So you and I will go in there and see what the ripper has been keeping from me while rebekah babysits." he looked a bit frustrated.

"Got it." his sister didn't look away from her nails but she reached one hand out to me. "Take a hit, love."

I looked between her and nik as he offered me a hand as well. I took them both and stole some magic from their bodies. "Take more. They have a witch." nik said as he squeezed my hand. Once I felt full I let go and waited for nik. He bit into his wrist. "Drink...consider it a safety measure." and I did.

"Please give me a little warning before you kill me." he smirked at me.

"I'll do my best, little bird." he wiping some blood from my lip. It felt nice, his touch was so gentle.

"Mhm" rebekah was watching the exchange between us. She gave her older brother a look like she knew something. It made me blush a bit. But niklaus just kept smirking. "Let's go love." and we walked into the school with his arm around my shoulders and mine on his waist.

The school was dark inside with only the emergency lights on. "I've never been in a school before." I whispered under my breath. He looked down at me but didn't comment, just kept leading us through the halls. I could hear echoes of movement in the halls. Some laughter and voices. I thought people only went to school during the day.

A dainty girl came through the door and a look of panic crossed her face as she gasped.

"There's my girl." Klaus let go of me.

"Klaus." she breathed. I could smell the fear coming off her. She attempted to run but I teleported in front of her. Arms crossed over my chest.

"You're supposed to be dead." nik grabbed her arm forcely, "what are we going to do about that?"

She must be the doppelganger, rebekah mentioned her on the drive up. "Little bird, why don't you start convening with the spirits and see what they think about this predicament."

Next thing I know he is dragging her through the halls quickly. Lecturing her about putting a kink in his plan to create hybrids. I still don't totally understand why he wants hybrids so bad. I didn't bother trying to keep up with them. I was focusing on listening to the dead. Most hate him and none will give me a straight answer.

"Now it's my guess is it as something to do with the fact that you are still breathing." nik was getting a scary type of angry.

"If you're going to kill me just do it." that stupi, stupid girl.

"It's a good thing she isn't dead." nik froze and looked at me for further explanation."the witch designed the curse so that even if you did break it you couldn't make them. So I take it that it's good she's alive. She was one of the ingredients that wasn't interchangeable."

Nik gave me a curt nod, his face was holding a dark exterior. "I might depending if she's right or not. Though I do have a way of making you suffer." he dragged her into a gymnasium with me hot on their heels. There were teens and cups all over the gym. Hell is happening here. Like i get what we are doing is a bit off but why the cups? I asked myself.
