Chapter 6~Chiaki's Explanation

A/N~Sorry that this ones a bit shorter then what a normally do lol
Also yes I'm sorry to do this again, but this story is gonna have Souda X Chiaki XD Idk why my mind keeps leaning towards those two being together lol

Nagito's POV:

After hearing that, Chiaki sits down and goes silent, while Akane and Nekomaru have smirks glued to their faces, "So you do like him~ I knew it!" Akane says with a grin. I blush some and look down a bit, "Of course I do...I've...liked him since we were kids..." I say with a slight sigh. "I could tell from the moment I saw you two!" Nekomaru says with a slight laugh, making my face blush more. Was it really that obvious...? I thought that I hid it well...I look over and notice that Souda looks...a little too happy about what I said, which is kinda weird, but I'm not gonna ask about it.

I look back at Chiaki, who's still silent, "Anyways, tell me why..." I say in a serious tone as I sit by her, making her sigh and look over at me. "It's his destiny..." Chiaki says, confusing me some. Destiny...? So he was meant to become a werewolf...? "What do you mean by that...?" I ask her curiously.

"Hajime is the descendent of our leader...or who you guys know as the wolf from the legend..." she says, surprising me some. The...wolf from the legend is...their leader...? I thought that she was, but I guess not. I stay quiet and continue to listen to what Chiaki says, "Our leader has been around for many many years...he is...or I guess was now...the oldest known werewolf ever known to the world..."

"Was...?" I say, making her fold her ears back and look down some. "He was...recently killed by a well known werewolf hunter..." Chiaki says, my eyes widening some. "Killed...? Someone...killed him...?" I say, looking down some, "Who would...want to do that...?" Chiaki sighs some, "They...wanted to prevent him from turning Hajime..." she says, messing with one of her jacket strings, "Hajime is supposed to take the place of our leader...and according to him is supposed to become the strongest of our kind...stronger then our last leader...strong enough to take out that werewolf hunter...and anyone else that threatens our existence..."

I look back up at her surprised, "You...want the hunter dead...? Why can't we just reason with them...? Death isn't the answer..." I say, making her look up at me with a glare. "You have no idea what we've been through! That hunter killed our other pack members...our families...our leader...they don't deserve to live..." she says as she looks at the other three, who all look saddened, "Once he has taken over...they won't stand a chance..." I look at them confused, "Once who takes over...?" I ask, making them all go silent. What does she mean by that...? Whose taking over Hajime...?

The silence is finally broken by Souda, who sighs a bit, "Don't worry about it right now...it won't happen for a while...not until they come back for the rest of us..." he says, looking down some. I'm guessing he means the hunter...do they come here once in a while or something like that...? I'm not sure...all I know is that...Hajime is in danger. This hunter is gonna start looking for him sometime soon...and I know it's gonna end up bad...for him and these guys...

I sigh a bit and try to change the subject, "So...why did you never tell Hajime about...being a werewolf...?" I ask, making her look back at me. "I was...assigned to keep an eye on him...monitor any changes he has..." she says with a slight sigh, "I'm sure you've noticed how often he goes out to see the moon...his behavior changes..." I think for a moment, remembering the last night we were together at night, "He gets very fixated on it...sometimes staying out or up way too late...being often tired when it's day time..." I say, Chiaki nodding in confirmation. "Yes, but that's just the start of it...his urges to see the moon will get stronger now that he's a werewolf...and when he does see it he's gonna get stronger and...difficult to control..." she says, which makes me concerned.

"What can I do to help...?" I ask as she stands up. "You can help by...keeping him away from that spot he likes to watch the moon from...making sure he doesn't leave your place at night...and also...making sure he's not by himself...anywhere. That hunter won't be the only one looking for him...they'll probably send their helpers out to search for him..." she says as she walks towards the door, "I'd...also advise keeping him away from school..."

"We can't do that to him Chiaki! He's gonna get upset...plus people will start to get suspicious and wonder why he's not there..." I say as she twists the door knob. "He doesn't have a choice...it's to protect him...which is something we both want..." she says with a sigh, "Though...that's gonna mainly be your job now...after Hajime and I talk..." she says as she opens the door and leaves, surprising me some. She's...gonna tell him about being a werewolf...? That's good...she doesn't need to keep that from him anymore...~ Though, for some reason I have a bad feeling about this...what's his reaction gonna be...?

Hajime's POV:

I sigh some and lean my head on my hand. They sure are taking a while...I wonder what they're talking about. I start to think about Nagito, blushing some. Why did I react like that when he was leaving...? He probably thinks I'm weird now...what kind of friend would say something like that?! I mean...that sounds more like something a boyfriend would say. I feel my face grow more red, crossing my arms on the table and laying my head down. I feel so stupid...

Ever since I turned into a werewolf, I've...had this urge to protect Nagito...just Nagito. It's probably because he's my best friend, but...I just...don't know anymore. All I've been thinking about is him...I know Chiaki is my friend too, but...my mind is always drawn to Nagito. I...don't understand why. What...is he to me...? Is he just a friend...? Or...do I really-

I'm snapped out of my thoughts when I hear the door knob turning, my ears perking up. Are they done talking? I lift my head up happily when I notice the door opening. Finally! Now Nagito and I can leave and hang out together~! I blush some at the thought, looking down a bit. Just as friends...it's...not a date or anything like that...not that I don't want it to be or that I think it is, but...I know that it's not since...I'm sure Nagito wouldn't like me like that.

I look up to see who's walking through the door, my eyes widening when I notice that...it's not Nagito. "Chiaki...? What are...you doing here...?" I ask, her looking down some. I look at her closely, noticing that she...has ears and a tail. "Wait...your...also a werewolf?!" I say, feeling a mix of confused, surprised, and...a bit upset. How could she...hide this from me. She...told me a long time ago that...she wouldn't keep anything from me...I start to get a bit frustrated. She needs to explain herself...right now.
