Chapter 5~Meeting the Pack

A/N~I'm so sorry this chapter took so long...like I said I had some problems writing it in lol it's not the best chapter, but I promise that after this one the others will be way better lol

Hajime's POV:

What's he doing here?! Here of all places?! If I had to guess...he was probably looking for...I glance over at Nagito, quickly getting in front of him. No doubt in my mind. I'd be pretty pissed off if someone struck me with a weapon, but Nagito did it to protect himself...he had no choice. It's...because of me that this guy is after him now...so I have to protect him...

He looks at Nagito, grinning some, "Well well well, looks like I found you~ Or more like you found me~" the muscular guy says with a laugh, making me growl some. "Stay away from him..." I say in an angry tone, concerning Nagito. "Hajime calm down...we're gonna attract a crowd..." he says as he puts a hand on my shoulder. I look around and notice that people are starting to stare. He's right...we're in public...this guy would be an idiot to try and start something now...

I take a breath and calm myself, looking back at the guy, "So what do you want...? We have places to go..." I say with a slight glare. He crosses his arms, "Follow me..." he says as he turns around and walks away. We look at each other confused, then back at him, "Why would we follow you after what you tried to do yesterday...?" I say with a slight growl.

He stops and turns his head, looking straight at Nagito, "If you two don't come, that human will be tonight's dinner for me and my friends..." he says with a slight growl, turning back around and continuing to walk.

Nagito shudders, "Lets just go...I really don't want to be a wolfs dinner..." he says as he walks away, trying to catch up to the guy. I sigh a bit and start to slowly follow. I have a very bad feeling about this...my instincts are telling me not to follow, but...I don't want them to kill Nagito...if they even lay a finger on him...they're dead.

Nagito's POV:

I look behind me at Hajime, seeing that he's slowly following us, keeping his eye on me. He got...really protective when that guy said he was looking for me...well we are friends, so I guess it's understandable that he gets all protective. I turn back around, looking at the muscular guy. I can't believe that...there are more werewolves out there...I wonder...which one bit Hajime...? I wonder if this guy knows...maybe I should ask.

I get next to him and clear my throat, "So ah...who are you...?" I ask making the guy look back at me. "We'll talk when we get to the cafe. Honestly...we just need to talk to you...you need to know what's going on..." he says, confusing me some. We...? So there's more werewolves where we're going...? This is interesting...I bet we'll be talking to that other wolf from yesterday too.

After a while, the guy stops at this old looking cafe with a closed sign on the door, "We're here." he says as he walks up to the door and unlocks it, "Come inside..." I watch him walk in, taking a breath as I follow with Hajime close behind. Once I'm inside, I look around. It actually looks a lot nicer inside the cafe, I really like it~ I look back at the guy who's looking around, "Hey Akane! I brought them!" he says, a girl poping up from behind the check out counter not that long after.

"Finally! Took ya long enough Neko!" She says with a slight groan, hopping up on the counter and sitting on it, crossing her legs. So their names are Akane and...Neko? Doesn't that mean a human cat or something like that...? That's a bit ironic considering he's a werewolf. The guy notices me and glares, "I'm Nekomaru...only my friends can call me Neko, so don't even try it." he says, making me look down a bit. I guess they're not here to make friends with us...

"Alright...it's ah...nice to meet you both." I say with a slight smile. Hajime glares at them and sticks close to me, "So what do you guys want...?" he says, making them both look over at us. "Our leader needs to talk to the human..." Nekomaru says, making my eyes widen some. Why me...? What does...their leader want with me...? I hesitantly start to walk over to them, Hajime taking my hand to try and stop me, "Nagito...I don't like this. What if they take you away from me...?" He says, sounding a bit upset.

I look at him a bit surprised, while Nekomaru and Akane are looking at us with smirks on their faces. Hajime, realizing what he said, blushes and lets go of my hand, "I mean...what if they try to hurt you again..." he says as he looks away. I sigh a bit and smile, walking back over to him, "If they do I'll call your name alright...everything will be fine...~" I say as I hug him, making him blush some. "O-Okay..." he says as he hugs me back, still feeling concerned.

I let him go and give him a quick smile before turning around and walking over to Nekomaru, "Alright...I'm ready..." I say, him nodding and leading me to the back door. I honestly have a bad feeling too, but...I need to know what's going on...I need to find out who did this to Hajime...and why these guys want to talk to me. I honestly thought that they would rather talk to Hajime, since...he's one of them...

I take one more look at Hajime before walking through the back door, the other two following behind me. I look around the room, noticing that it's way more cluttered then the cafe. There's a lot of boxes and trash everywhere...it must be a storage room or something...I look over and notice a boy with spiky faded pink hair sitting on the ground, reading...what looks to be a comic. He looks over at me and grins, quickly getting up and rushing over to us, "Looks like we're eating good tonight, dibs on one of his arms~!" he says, making me feel uncomfortable and cross my arms.

"Hush Souda, you should know by now that he's not here for that..." Akane says, making him pout. "I know I know I'm just messing with him~!" he throws an arm around me, laughing some, "I'm Souda~ Nice to meet cha!" he says happily, confusing me some. He doesn't seem like a bad guy...maybe I can at least get along with him...~

"It's nice to meet you...~ My name is-" I'm interrupted by a familiar sounding voice, "We already know who you are...Nagito..." I look over and notice a figure standing in the shadowy area of the room. I watch as the figure walks out of the shadow, making my eyes widen some. "C-Chiaki...? Your a...werewolf...?" I ask, making her sigh some and take off her hood, revealing her ears and her tail coming out of the back of her jacket. I can't believe this...Chiakis...been hiding this from us...?

I start to feel frustrated, walking over to Chiaki to where we're face to face, "Were you the one who turned Hajime?!" I say in an angry tone, making the others start growling at me. I guess they don't want me to get close to her, probably because...she's their leader. Chiaki puts her hand up, silencing the other three, "It's fine guys..." she says as she looks back at me, "I know you have a lot of questions...that's why your here. I promise that I'll explain everything, but...none of it can leave this room..."

My eyes widen some. Why...? Why can't Hajime know...? Something is definitely fishy about all of this...I look down and sigh some. I...don't want to hide anything from Hajime, but...I need to know. I look back up at her, "Fine...I won't say anything, just...tell me why...why Hajime of all people...? Why...the one person I care about...?"
