Chapter 21~Staying and Leaving...

Izuru's POV:

"How could she say that...she...doesn't care about me..."

I grab my head, groaning some. Shut up...I get that your upset but I don't need this headache right now...man it'll be nice when I can get my full power back...I won't have to deal with him anymore. Of course...it's not like I'll be rid of him for good...this is his body after all...it's more like...I'll be reborn...and he will be an afterthought. Not sure what I'll do about Nagito after everything is done...if the hunter uses him for what I'm hoping...things will go all according to plan...~

I look back at Souda, who's glaring at me. He's already suspicious of me, which isn't surprising...he's always hated me, but that's probably just because his little crush has feelings for me...I glance over at Chiaki, laughing a bit to myself. You really dug yourself a grave...~ I just wanted Hajime to not trust you for fun, but now it's actually beneficial to me. As long as his trust in her is low, he'll have no reason to not listen to me...well..unless Nagito gets in my way...which is a high possibility. Of course getting Hajime to hate him after everything that's happened so far would be hard...it's almost not worth the trouble...eh...I'll let him have his little love life for the week and a half he has left.

After a while longer of searching through papers, we stop, "It's getting late...we should leave before those lackeys get here..." Chiaki says as she stands up and heads towards the back door. She's right...even though if they did show up I'd have no issues with them...they wouldn't last in a fight against me.

"Nagito..."

I sigh some and rub my head. Yes yes we're going back to your beloved bagel loving 'boyfriend'...even though your still technically not together. I follow her towards the back door, "We'll pick this up again tomorrow...maybe we can follow the lackeys to the hunters hideout to see if they have that missing piece to the diagram" I say, stopping when I notice she's standing in the doorway, not letting me leave.

"Yea we can do that...ah...how about we all go for a run~? We're gonna transform soon and the weather is perfect! Plus...I'd like to talk back to Hajime..." she says, saddening some and making me think to myself for a second. She's obviously hiding something...she doesn't want us to go home right away...I wonder...

"We're not staying"

I laugh a bit, "It looks like Hajime doesn't like your idea, though I will say...a run sounds pretty nice to me...so we'll stay." I say, making Chiaki smile some. "Great! Let's hurry to the woods before we transform~" she says as she runs off.

"Fine...but after this straight to Nagito."

I nod and hurry after her, looking back to see that..Souda's not following us...I wonder why...? If my suspicions are correct, it's because of what Chiaki is hiding...which I find pretty fascinating...~ He must truly care about her to keep Hajime from hating her more then he does right now...though I don't think he fully hates her...the reason being because of Nagito. I sigh some to myself. He's a real thorn in my side...

Nagito's POV:

"You do realize that...what you wanna do is risky right...?" Akane says, making me sigh some. "Yea I do, but...what other option is there...? This is the only way that Hajime will be himself again...I understand that Izuru's your leader, but...I just...I don't want to lose Hajime..." I say, looking down some. Currently, I'm at that abandoned restaurant the werwolves hide out in. They brought me here to get some information about my encounter with the hunters lackeys...mostly because they're usually kept in the dark about everything. I told them everything...from what the lackeys said...to what I found out from all those papers I saw in their hideout along with some of my plan. I take the necklace charm in my hand, gripping it tightly. Knowing what I know now...makes me even more determined to get rid of Izuru.

Akane thinks to herself for a moment, "Well...if what your saying is true...as long as no one is wearing the necklace...Izuru, or at least his power and consciousness, will be trapped inside until the next blood moon." I nod in confirmation, "Izuru probably didn't tell them that, since his actual body is gone, that his conciseness will be absorbed along with his power...how did you figure that out?" She asks curiously, me looking down some. "I saw it on this paper that explained it before I tore that piece off, leaving the rest of the info on how to get Izurus powers back..." I say as I tighten my fists some, "There was...something else on that paper I saw..."

She looks at me confused, "What did you see...?" Akane asks, making me go quiet. Unfortunately...I can't tell them the other part of the information I saw...none of them can know about it...not even Hajime. All I know is that there's more to this process to get Izurus powers then I thought...to think that something like that would have to happen...I sigh some. As much as I don't want to do it, it's the only way that the necklace will absorb the rest of Izurus power...Hajime...has to willingly let him take full control on the day of the blood moon.

Before I could say anything, the door bursts open, Souda quickly running inside, "We need to get Nagito back to his house...now!" He says, confusing me some. What's going on...? "Dude...it's almost time for us to change...there's no way we can leave right now..." Akane says, Nekomaru nodding in agreement. "She's right...if we go out now, we risk being spotted by that hunter or their lackeys...you do know that they work mostly at night right...?" Nekomaru says as he looks over at him. Souda groans some, "I know I know, but we have to get him home now! If we don't, we will lose all hope of Hajime trusting our pack...and Chiaki..." he says as he looks down some.

I think to myself for a moment. He does have a point...I don't want Hajime to push them away...I finally got him to at least try and trust them...I don't want my efforts to go to waist. I carefully stand up, making them all look over at me, "I'll do my best to walk, you guys can stay out of sight and follow close behind me..." I say, concerning Akane some. "Are you sure...? It hasn't fully healed yet..." she says, me laughing some. "I'll be alright...~" I say as I slowly head towards the door way, Akane and Nekomaru following close behind.

"Chiaki is gonna keep Hajime busy while we do this...I...don't know how long we'll have, since fucking Izuru made him start to trust her less again..." Souda says, surprising and confusing me some. He what?! "What did he say to him...?" I ask as we stop at the front door. "Really...he didn't have to say anything...it's what Chiaki said that caused it...he just made it worse..." Souda says as he looks down some.  What...she said...? "Okay...so what did Chiaki say then...?" I ask, Souda going quiet. Was...what she said really that bad...? Bad enough to make someone lose trust in them...? Or...even hate them...? Now I have to know before we leave...
