Hours Later

I made my way out of the dorm building and towards the entrance. I already made the request about an hour ago to leave for a few hours to visit my mother and maybe do some shopping. In reality I was seeing Akane, though I may at least stop by my mom's place. I looked at the address occasionally as I made my way to some apartment building a pretty decent distance away from UA. He couldn't have picked some place closer? I'm on crutches for crying out loud... I sighed as I made my way into the apartment building, immediately by Akane standing in the lobby.

"Oh, you actually came... Come on, I want to get a coffee."

"You couldn't have told me to meet you there?"

"I didn't think about it until a few minutes ago. Now come on." He signalled for me to follow as he walked out the door, holding it open for me as I made my way through. After that we walked to the coffee shop. (Myself more-so crutching my way there) We stepped inside, it was pretty empty. Which was surprising for this coffee shop, I guess it was a slow day. We walked up as he ordered himself a caramel Latte, I ended up ordering the same thing since nothing else really seemed interesting to me. Akane was sitting in one of the more secluded corner booths by the window as I came over and sat across from him. I stared out the window as I sipped my latte. "Do you remember who I am?"

I looked at Akane with a confused face. "Um... Yeah? You're Akane... We met literally last night."

"We met long before that... You were crying in an alley..."

"I was?" I thought for a few moments, starting to connect the dots. "W-wait... You're the kid that walked up to me in the alley. The one that asked if I was okay..." Akane slowly nodded, sipping his own latte and looking out the window.

"I was surprised to see you again honestly. I didn't realise who you were at first, but I ended up figuring it out."

"I never really thanked you for checking on me that night... I probably would've sat there for an hour or two and worried my parents if you didn't come over..." Akane nodded slightly, he was looking across the street at something. No, someone.

"Is that your Ex?" He pointed across the street to Yurin who was walking down the sidewalk somewhere. I looked over, my eyes widening and quickly I pulled the hood up on my hoodie to hide my face.

"I-I can't be seen with you. I'm risking a lot here."

"I know..."

"Wait... How do you know he's my Ex?"

"We had an encounter before, mostly just a small chat when I dropped your crutches off."

"Thanks for that by the way... Look... Akane, I-I need out... I can't do this. It's so stressful and I just can't handle it." Akane stared at me, his face still directed at the window, but his eyes were locked on mine.

"Shigaraki won't like that."

"I-I know.. I just... I.." I set my coffee down to hold my head, covering my face as I started to take deep breaths so I wouldn't get emotional. I have been way to emotional lately. Why did all of this have to happen to me?

"I'll get you out... I'll tell him some fake info of what you guys are doing in the next few days, and when we get there and nothing is going on he'll realise you can't be trusted anymore. He should cut you loose then." I slowly looked up at him, sniffling slightly as I nodded faintly.

"T-Thank you Akane... I appreciate it..." He nodded, sipping his latte again before speaking.

"Wanna head to an arcade or something?" I gave a curious look, glancing away for a moment to think.
