Chapter 8: Quirk Training

The next morning, we all woke up. Suraki, Kozu, and Zota left my room with their things. Once they left, I got up and hopped into the shower, then I got dressed and grabbed a granola bar to eat for breakfast. I was in my uniform of course, since today we actually had class.

Before I went to the classroom though I stopped by the staff office, they were surprised to see me since I was supposed to still be in the hospital today. I quickly began explaining what happened last night while at the hospital, they were taken aback by the report. The Principal thanked me for making the report, and said if I recovered enough I could return to class. And so I did, I came in a little late because of talking with the principal.

"Hmm? HEY! What do you think your doing coming in so late! I marked you absent!" Bakugou-Sensei was glaring at me from his position behind his desk, making me gulp slightly.

"I-Im sorry Bakugou-Sensei! I was speaking with the Principal about what happened last night. I won't be late again sir." I bowed slightly to be respectful as I spoke. Hoping I'm not going to get into too much trouble.

"Tch... Whatever, just take your seat. We'll be heading to get changed into the training uniform soon." I didn't question what he said, simply heading to my seat in front of Zota. As soon as I did I could hear Zota speak to me.

"Good to see you here, man! I was hoping to see you come in!"

"Hey! You two shut up already so I can get to the lesson!"

"Sorry, Sir!" Zota leaned back after he apologized, and Bakugou went on to speak.

"Alright! Now that those two are done with their little chit-chat. Today we will be doing Quirk Training! Before you nerds ask, we will be heading off campus to a training ground in the forest. There each of you will work to improve your abilities with your quirks through different personalized means." Thank god, I definitely needed training with my quirk.

After he retook attendance now that I was in class, we went to the locker rooms and changed into the gym uniforms. Then when everyone was finished with that, we were led to the transport buses. Before I went on though, Bakugou-Sensei had pulled me aside to talk.

"Hey, your gonna be working with Shoto today. Don't know why Half'n'Half wants to work with you specifically but when you get there he will be waiting. That's all, now get on the bus." I nodded, I too had the same question as he did. Why did Mr. Todoroki want to work with me? I guess I'll have to find out once we got there. I stepped onto the bus and made my way to the back, sitting down in a seat by myself. Sometime during the ride I had fallen asleep, but once we did reach the place I was woken up by Zota.

"Hey! We're at the training ground! Come on, man! Before we lose where we're heading!" I rubbed my eyes, gripping the top of the seat in front of me and hoisting myself to my feet. After that I stepped off the bus with Zota, Bakugou was already explaining where certain students would be going. There they would have some instructors to guide what they needed to do. I guess Mr. Todoroki was my instructor then, once everyone was all split up and brought to their instructors. I could see Shoto waving me over near the edge of the forest. Quickly I jogged over to him.

"Good to see you recovered well, Heraki. Means we can get started earlier, follow me." Shoto turned and started walking into the forest, I was a bit confused as to why we were heading into here and not staying on the training grounds. But I wasted no time in following, after about a fifteen minute walk we stopped in a small clearing. "Alright, we're here. Take a seat wherever your comfortable, Heraki."

I was a bit confused, which he saw the confusion on my face and waited for my question. "Sir... if I may ask, what are doing so far from the training grounds? Shouldn't we be working on my quirk?"
