Chapter 28: Mall Trip

It was about a twenty minute walk from the school to the mall. But we kept it filled with chit chat, it was actually nice to just relax and talk. They were right, I really needed this after all the constant training I had been doing.

"So! Who else is up for just shopping in general! Because after thinking about it, I think it would be fun to do more than bet a bite to eat while at the mall!" I couldn't help but chuckle from Zota's energy, I missed hearing it in full.

"I'm up for it, how about you Nosido and Suraki?"

"I'm okay with it, how about you, hun?" I looked up at Suraki, he looked down at me, smiling slightly and nodding. "Then we have the plan set! But shopping before or after eating?"

"Before!"

"After." Kazu and Zota looked at each other after they had different answers.

"Then i'll be the tie breaker! hmm...I pick... Before"

"Sweet! Just make sure to save money for food after!"

"Are we gonna split off in pairs?"

"That's not a bad idea, Kazu."

"I'm okay with that, you two love birds can do your own thing! Come on Kazu!" I chuckled softly at the love bird comment, looking up at Suraki.

"Well, where do you wanna go first? You can pick the first store to stop at."

"Hmm... well I don't really know so we can just wander the mall a bit until I find something interesting." I chuckled softly, hugging his arm tightly as I stood beside him. I was still looking up so I noticed a faint blush form on his face.

"Well, let's get to walking huh?" I smiled brightly at Suraki, slowly seeing a smile form on his own face as we walked into the mall. Starting to wander around the large loop to find an interesting store. Eventually we stopped at a coffee shop and got ourselves some lattes, Suraki said that he would count that as the store he picked so I lead him to one of the many clothing stores to try and find some things to buy. We walked around and I pretty much grabbed anything yellow, did I mention I love yellow? Anyways, by the time we were done. Suraki's hands were pretty full so I started to pull things out of the pile that weren't ones I really needed. Which even then, it was still a lot.

"Um... don't you think this is still a bit much, 'Sido?" I looked at Suraki with a very confused face. "And don't you think you have enough yellow?"

I gasped in an exaggerated way and covered my mouth. "How daaaare you say I have too much yellow! You can never have enough!" My exaggerated response warranted a small chuckle from Suraki as he shook his head.

"Let me pick out a few things for you, okay?" I rolled my eyes and chuckled, gesturing for him to do so as he started to try and find some things that may look good on me. He picked out a light blue v-neck and a mint green button up short sleeve, a pair of dark blue jeans and a light grey long sleeve to wear under the mint green button up.

"Huh... Those actually don't look too bad."

"What? Don't trust my fashion sense?"

"You wear turtlenecks when it's spring."

"That's because my body is normally cold... One more thing now that you brought it up. You okay with trying a turtleneck?"

"Ohhh my god not when it's this warm."

"Oh you'll be fine, I just want you to try it." I sigh and nod, he passed the clothes to me and walked off for a few minutes. Then came back with a navy blue turtleneck., he passed it to me and we walked to the changing rooms for me to try it on. I took the light blue hoodie Suraki gave me and slipped on the turtle neck. Looking at myself in the mirror, the color wasn't too bad and the collar of the turtleneck was kind enough to cover most of my scar. I opened the changing room door for Suraki to see, He was smiling a bit and he nodded. "Looks good." I smiled back at him, heading back into the changing room and switching the sweater out with the hoodie before I stepped back out and put the turtleneck in with the other things I was buying. We went to the checkout and I grabbed the credit card my parents gave me out from my wallet and used it to buy my clothing haul. I put the card back into my pocket and grabbed the bags before Suraki and I walked out.

"Alright, where to next, hun?"

"Well, we could just wander again. I really have nothing I need to get so there's not much point of me picking out stores to shop in." I chuckled softly, shaking my head as we started to just walk around the loop of the mall again. Eventually we got a text from Zota and Kazu to head down to the food court so we could get our early dinner. We ended up getting some Soba from one of the restaurants and chat while we ate. Once we were done we went on our way back to the school to relax for the rest of the night. It was a nice change of pace considering all that happened, I finally got to just relax normally again.
