Chapter 21: Roommates

It didn't take too long for me to be released from the medical bay surprisingly. It was only a few days of bedrest, but of course I was stuck on crutches. I can understand why she wasn't gonna have me in class, I would have to go up two sets of stairs every morning just to get to class. That's annoying alone without crutches, but on crutches? May as well be impossible. Luckily though, the medical bay is on the first floor. So no stairs for me apart from when you just leave the building. Zota was with me for most of the day, he was excused from class to help me move some of my things to his room and help me settle in. Though most days would be pretty boring since everyone will be at class. I was mostly standing in Zota's doorway while he went back and forth from my room to his, grabbing clothes and grabbing a few other things of mine. We actually got done pretty early, it was only really lunchtime by the time we finished. So naturally, we went downstairs to the common room to make something.

"So! What do you want, man? I don't mind what we eat, as long as it's not too gross." He went over to the fridge, opening up and seeing what was inside. "We got stuff for sandwiches, leftover Soba from Suraki's Dinner the other night, stuff for... Salad I think?" He closed the fridge, standing upright to look in the freezer. "Ice cream... Some of those mini pizzas, waffles."

"Let's just make sandwiches. That's easy and fast."

"Works for me!" Zota turned and started grabbing all of the sandwich supplies out of the fridge. Setting them on the countertop by the stove as he started to get to work on making them. Asking me what I wanted while I simply replied with a Ham and Cheese sandwich. Basic but tasty. "Hey, I'm gonna head to the store after we eat lunch, need to refill on some of my stuff I had in the fridge. You want anything?"

"A box of granola bars please, chocolate chip." He smiled at me and nodded, handing a plate with my sandwich to me. I smiled and began to eat, we were really only in the kitchen for a few minutes before Zota had finished and left for the store. I carefully grabbed my crutches and made my way back to Zota's bedroom. When I got to the bedroom, I saw a strange box sitting on the bed. Curiously I walked up and read the small note on it.

Hope you don't mind me dropping the surprise off for you... you never came to collect it, so I naturally brought it over myself. Hope you like the coat.

I was confused about who had given me this gift, when had I requested someone to make me a coat? Slowly I opened up the box, pulling out the coat as it unfolded whilst I pulled it up. It was a long black trench coat with red accents on parts of it. I looked at it in confusion, until it finally hit me... Monata was here. But how did she even get inside the school grounds? I slowly swallowed a large amount of saliva I had built up in my mouth from not focusing on doing so naturally. Quickly folding the coat back up and placing it inside the box. I then brought the box over to the closet, opening it up and hiding it somewhere inside. No one can find that... That spot will have to do for now... I couldn't help but shiver as I felt a cold chill blow throughout the room. Snapping my gaze over to the now open window. My heart was racing... And as soon as I felt a hand place itself on my shoulder, I couldn't help but feel fear consume me.

"Don't you think it was rude to leave us so suddenly, Nosido?"

"S-Shigaraki... What are you doing here, how did you get in?"

"How do you think? You know exactly how... So, how's my little apprentice doing in school. Hmm?"

"D-Don't call me that..."

"Or what? Tell me, what would you be able to do with that broken leg of yours. Sure you have your other limbs but... Who's more experience in combat?" He chuckled creepily as he knelt down behind me, leaning in close to my ear. "You're lucky I'm wearing my gloves..." Slowly, I felt him lift his hand off of my shoulder, but I didn't want to move. I was paralyzed from fear as he slowly turned my head to face him as he moved to my side. "You've heard him... Haven't you? That little voice inside your head, it speaks the truth you know..."
