The moment I wrote this possible ending, the last two episodes of the show hadn't been broadcasted, so I decided to create this one...

A return to where all started...

Yoon Se Ri, stepped out the taxi, and began to follow the road that would lead her to the bride, to the place where all had started. Her story, the story of her life, the place where she'd wanted to end everything but, instead all had begun...

Around her, the fresh breeze of the Alpes, where spring had just arrived... all was green, with icy summits, the smell of green grass and spring flowers... She walked a couple more metres until she got the place where she had met Jeong Hyeok for the first time... she started to cross the bridge until she stopped. That was the spot where he had approached her. Where he had listened to her, recording a message of goodbye to her family, and where he had fized an excuse to get her out of there. And she had followed him, like she would do so many times, during the time they had been together...

She closed her eyes and felt dizzy... the pain was just too much to bare... hiding her eyes behind those black sunglasses, she lost control, for few seconds, and she cried, she cried for her love, her story with Jeong Hyeok, all they had lived and all the were supposed to live, had he not been emprisoned and killed...

Intense sobs shook her body, in pain, in an excruciating pain... The tears, falling from her eyes, so long kept inside her spirit were finally easing the pressure of an immense pain, the pain of having lost her husband two years ago...

The sound of someone approaching made her dry her tears out, and when she heard the voices of children calling for her, she immediately smiled: Ri and Kim, her three year old twins were arriving by the hand of their grandmothers.

Se Ri leaned to hug them: her daughter, Kim, just like her, always so independent and confident, Ri... so alike his father... quiet, responsible, smart...

Jeong Hyeok's mother, Mrs. Kim Yoon-Hee and Se Ri's mother could see she had been crying. In fact, she had been crying since the minute she had known he had been subjected to a trial, condemned and imprisoned. Several months later, after numerous attempts to visit him in that high security prison, a few miles north, from Pyongyang, a letter had come informing that Captain Ri Jeong Hyeok had been found dead in his cell. Inside the envelope, a letter... handwritten, she would read thousands of times from that day, since:

«My love, my life...

Days without you are painful and not being next to you, watching our children growing is the hardest punishment, for having done what I did... I don't regret having killed Jo Cheol-kang, because I know he would come after you and our twins, sooner or later. Even though I know we'll probably never meet again, I know that you are safe and you will be a great mother to our children. However, each day that passes is like a stabbing on my chest, and the pain I feel is making me bleed to death...

I don't know if I'll see you again. I don't know if I'll be able to kiss you again, to make love to you, explore every corner of your mazing body, make you mine again, and again, but please, I ask you... don't hold on to pain. The first times will be hard but, in case I may never return home, please, move on with your life. Think about Kim and Ri and be happy. And if you find someone that makes you smile again, don't waste the chance to be happy again. I want you to be happy, please, be happy for me...

I don't know how many days have passed here, I lost track of time and I don't know how many more days, months, years I'll will remain imprisoned, but I want you to know that, despite missing you three like hell, I'm happy to know you are safe... to know our children will grow up to be good persons, happy and with lots of love around them is all I need to keep my mental sanity, here.

This may be my last letter... I was allowd a single letter so, since I still have a couple of lines, I want to say this: I love you. I loved before, I love now and I will love you forever, my dear picky princess, Yoon Se Ri. I loved you even when I didn't know you and, I know the moment I die, you will be the last face I'll see, and your name will be the last words I'll say...

Yours, forever and ever... Ri Jeong Hyeok.

Yoon Se Ri and Jeong Hyeok had married in a beautiful Sunday afternoon, the beginning of May, by the beach, having the close family and friends, around them. The party had been a true magical celebration of love and Se Ri and Jeong Hyeok would consider that day, the happiest of their lives, until the moment they had received the results she was pregnant... of twins, like Jeong Hyeok had wished so much... The next months would be of pure happiness and love, with him returning to the stage and his piano concerts and Se Ri preparing each detail to welcome her babies, while keeping company to her husband... It was only when she became too heavy, Jeong Hyeok suspended his concerts to be next to his wife, at home.

Weeks later, they would welcome two healthy babies... and, in that moment, their love grew even stronger...

But, one day, when the babies were one year old, someone tried to abduct them, in a moment of distraction of the nannies... Jeong Hyeok would find out the responsible was Jo Cheol-kan, who everybody thought was dead in a car accident, and he would pursue him like a wolf, having killed him in a gunfight...

The rest was still a terrible memory for Se Ri... Jeong Hyeok being arrested, interrogated, deported... and locked in a cold, dark, deadly prison in North Korea.

And the dream had been shattered... lost... transformed into a pile of ashes, blown by a cold, painful wind...

All she had left was two beautiful babies and the memory, tattooed in her mind and her body, of the presence, the scent of the only man she had loved before...

- We should go, dear... - whispered her mother – It's getting cold and the children must go.

- I'll stay a little longer...

- No, my dear – said Jeong Hyeok's mother – come with us...

Sensing her daughter was about to burst in tears, Han Jeong-Yeon took the children and made a sign she would wait for them in the car.

- I miss him so much...

Se Ri, losing the strength to stand up, fell on her knees, crying like a child. Mrs Kim Yoon-Hee held her in her arms, unable to stop her own tears:

- Oh my dear, my dear... You did what you could to save my son... and you made him so happy... I'm so proud of you, my darling...

- I need him... I need him so much... Oh this is too painful to bare...

Se Ri felt as if the sobs would suffocate her, but Jeong Hyeok's mother held her closer and kissed her hair.

- Shhh... my dear... everything will be alright...

- I shouldn't have come... This is too painful...

- Oh my dear... I know... But you had to come, you had to face this moment, so you can move on...

- I don't wish to move on...

- For your children, for Jeong Hyeok...

- I can't... I can't... Why do I feel this pain, as if he was still with me, taking care of me, watching my steps... Oh, why does my heart feel he is still alive, when everybody tells me otherwise?!
