"You'll need to retrieve the Red Lion from Sendak's ship," Allura instructed as Keith boarded the Green Lion with Pidge.
Keith eyed the Galra warship skeptically in return. "That's a.. pretty big ship. How are we gonna know where the Red Lion is?"
Pidge shook his head. "Oh, it's not a matter of 'we'. It's a matter of 'you'."
"Pidge is right," Hunk nodded. "Once we get you in, you'll be able to feel its presence and track it down."
"Yeah," even Lance agreed. "You know how you felt that crazy energy while we were in the desert?"
"You made fun of me for that,"
"And I'm proud of that, but it turns out it's exactly like that mumbo-jumbo."
Allura stepped forward and gave Keith one last warning. "Keith, remember, the Red Lion is EXTREMELY temperamental. You'll have to earn its respect."
You thought for a moment on Allura's reminder, then ran up the ramp to the Green Lion's mouth, joining Shiro, Pidge, and Keith in it. "Hey, (Y/N)!" Coran called to you. "Where are you going?"
You looked and Shiro and mumbled that you wanted to come along too. Shiro shook his head at once. "No, no, honey, it's too dangerous. You're supposed to stay here, where it's safe."
You shook your head in reply, muttering that if the Red Lion was as problematic as Allura said, Keith might not make it out of the ship without being discovered. If the spirit guide was there to help convince it, maybe the mission would be easier for everyone.
Allura seemed to agree with Shiro. "Your intentions are good but foolish," she said. "If the Galra were to discover you, they'd take the news straight to Zarkon, and then he'd stop at nothing to capture you."
You had to admit, the consequences weren't fun. But you figured it was high time you took a stand and tried to be brave for a change instead of letting other people fight your battles. So you gave Shiro a stern look and didn't budge. Shiro exhaled a patient sigh, catching on to your stubbornness, then looked to Allura. "Maybe we should let her come. I mean, she led us to the Blue Lion, after all. If not for her, we wouldn't be here."
"Shiro-"
"She's not going to be in a fight. We're here to escape with the Red Lion, not battle. Worst case scenario, the Paladins will protect her if something goes awry."
Allura didn't look convinced, but it was clear to her that you weren't taking no for an answer. With a sigh, she nodded once to signal her permission, and you scampered onboard with Pidge, Keith, and Shiro.

"All right. Here's our plan of attack," Shiro briefed you on the plan as the Green Lion flew behind the Galra warship. "The Galra Empire knows about the Blue and Yellow Lion, but they don't know we have the Green Lion, too. Hunk and Lance will act as a decoy by pretending to give themselves up. While Sendak is distracted, Keith, Pidge, you, and I will sneak onto the ship in the Green Lion. You and Keith will find the Red Lion while Pidge and I guard our exit. Hunk and Lance will find some way to take down that ion cannon."
You nodded, repeating the plan in your mind as the Green Lion docked underneath the warship. Pidge cut a hole into the warship's hull and he, you, Keith, and Shiro slipped inside. Once inside, Lance's voice was heard through the commlink.
"Pidge, what's your ETA?" he asked.
"We're in," Pidge replied, already making his way down the halls. As you turned down a hallway, you heard Shiro groan all of a sudden, as if he was having an unnerving flashback. You ran to your father's side and steadied him as the painful memory passed.
