You scampered through the darkened hallways of the ship alone, feeling your pulse speed up with every little noise you heard. As Sendak and his second-in-command had locked down the Castle and taken it for themselves, and upon being the only team member the Galra didn't know of, you were the team's only hope.

As you raced through the halls, you pondered on what you should do to save the day. Maybe you should go to the Lions and seek their help? No, they were stuck in their hangar. Perhaps it would be better to leave the Castle and try to fetch Keith and Allura? No, the particle barrier had been activated, so nothing could get in or out.

You decided your best option would be to leave the Castle. It felt bad to abandon the Lions, but if the Galra took off with you still on board, it would only make things easier for Zarkon. Maybe you could figure out a plan once you were outside. There was just one problem: you had NO idea how to turn off the particle barrier.

Just then, you saw the mice scurry underneath your feet. They jumped up and down and squeaked at you, trying to tell you something. Though you felt rather silly listening to mice, you were glad to have someone to follow. You trailed the mice and they led you to a control panel in the side of the wall. It had a row of switches and levers that were at finger-flipping size. You hoped that one of those would be the one to shut down the barrier, or at least turn off some other essential system needed to get the ship off the ground.

However, as you reached for it, the lights in the hallways suddenly went out. You pricked your ears as you heard Sendak open up a hailing message. "Haxus, report in."

"Haxus is gone, and you're next!" you heard Pidge's voice declare bravely. He was still on the ship too! Your heart swelled with relief once you realized you were not as alone as you thought you were.

"You've slowed me down, but this ship is mine! You will turn yourself over to me immediately!" Sendak ordered fiercely.

"Never!"

Just as quickly as they had risen, Sendak swerved your hopes with terrible actions of his own. "Well, then, maybe your leader can convince you." He then brought Shiro up front, who looked beaten and bruised. You gasped with worry for your father as Sendak held him to the screen.

"Pidge? Pidge, don't listen to-" Shiro began, but he was cut off as Sendak mercilessly shocked him with his prosthetic arm.

"You can make it stop. Turn yourself in. His suffering is in your hands," Sendak said darkly before ending the hailing frequency.

After seeing the horror in front of you, your mind went blank. Your body felt the familiar stretch and rage boiled in your blood. With an angered roar, you slashed at the control panel, completely obliterating it and shutting down the particle barrier, among other things. The mice squeaked with concern as they watched a silver lion pace quickly down the hall, heading straight for the bridge.

Your vision was a blur and your mind was empty to all emotions but anger as you pounced down the hallway. You were going to make Sendak pay for what he had done to your father. You could hear your claws click against the floor as you raced on and the whistle of wind in your ears as it streaked through your fur. You felt energetic and exhilarated, like nothing could stop you.

You finally slowed to a stop and crouched by the frame just outside the bridge. You saw Pidge mocking Sendak just outside the hall, then run off. Sendak growled and charged after him, but he stopped short just before he reached you. He then turned and grabbed the real Pidge, who had used a hologram to distract him so he could rescue Shiro.

"You really thought your little hologram trick would work with me?" he hissed angrily, but you had seen enough. With a mighty snarl, you lunged from your hiding spot and barreled into Sendak, forcing him to drop Pidge. Your slavering jaws bit down hard on his shoulder and you wouldn't turn loose until your teeth split through his skin and you felt your teeth scrape on bone. He roared in pain and rage and grabbed your waist, throwing you off of him roughly. You rolled a few feet away but was back on your feet in two tumbles.
