11. Run

Newt POV

the guards had just dragged (Y/N) away and shoved us back into our seats.

I watched the guards move away from us and I curled my hands into fists.

Frypan patted my shoulder.

"Easy there Newt. They wont hurt her! She wont let them!"

I nodded,

"Let's just keep our heads down and try not to draw attention to ourselves."

As Janson went back to calling the names Thomas saw someone through the window.

"...Teresa?"

He whispered and got up out his seat walking towards the door where the called up kids were going.

"What is he doing?"

I asked as I prepared to get up to,

"Drawing attention to himself."

Fry said,

We watched as Thomas tried to sneak in with the group of kids but a guard placed a hand on his chest,

"Woah there son you weren't called."

"I- I just want to say goodbye to a friend if-"

He tried to push past again,

"Kid you'll get your turn just take your seat."

"Come on man i-"

"Sit. Your ass. Back down."

The guard glared at Thomas.

And as Thomas turned away he spun back around and slugged the guard in the jaw.

The guard went to hit him back but Frypan, Winston, Minho and I rushed out of our seats and held Thomas back,

"Woah woah woah relax!"

"Back off!"

"Tommy stop!"

"What is going on here!?"

Janson ran back into the room, stopping the fight,

"Thomas... I thought we were on the same side?"

Janson said to Thomas who gave him an icy look,

"So did i."

Soon guards were dragging us back to our rooms, they shoved us in and locked the door.

As soon as the door closed Aris. The boy thomas had told us about who he had met the other night in the vents came through the vent and called to Thomas,

"You got it?"

He asked thomas and he proceeded to pull out a key card.

"What-?"

I started but Thomas was already crawling in the vents.

"Thomas what-?"

"Maybe I'm just being paranoid like you said Newt. But I have to know. I'll be back soon!"

He slipped into the vent and he shut it behind him.

I rubbed my hands over my face and slumped down on the bed,

"Shuck what has the world come to?"

I said allowed.

Frypan sat down beside me,

"Newt its gonna be fine I promise."

I sighed and smiled up at him,

"Thanks fry."
