22. The Train

Newts POV

I hid behind a rock a few paces up from the train tracks...

Brenda, (Y/N) and Jorge were in one car with Tommy and Vince in another.

(Y/N) usually did these types of missions with me, but Brenda insisted she needed the extra gun fire if someone started shooting back.

So I waited for Tommy and (Y/N) and sure enough I soon heard the train coming-

It wasn't long before the front half of the train pushed forward and then the back carts of the train stopped.

I saw (Y/N) and Brenda's car break away from the train with a Berge following them and I silently prayed they would be ok,

Soon I saw Tommy climb off the train and he waved his arms wildly at me,

"NEWT!"

He yelled and I finally stood from behind the rock,

"Come on-"

I gestured to the guys behind me who were part of the Right Arm.

We all sprinted towards the train carts and I headed to the other side of it while the other two took the front side.

"This one?"

I asked Thomas who nodded,

"Yeah yeah!"

He had gotten his gun out and was looking anxiously at the WICKED soldiers getting off the front part of the train and started heading our way.

I quickly flipped on my welding goggles and tightened my mask around my nose and mouth before pulling out my torch stick and beginning to burn away at the holds on the crate.

Thomas started shooting his gun and looked back at me,

"Hurry!"

"Dont rush me."

Was all I said, I didnt even look up.

Soon I had burnt through the metal holding the cart and hung my goggles and mask around my neck,

Tommy had climbed onto the top of the train-

"Come on!"

I hurriedly climbed the ladder and lay down beside Thomas, flat on my stomach and took aim at the soldiers,

Soon the other two boys joined us and climbed on the top, shooting at the soldiers to,

The only one left was Vince.

A Berge flew above us and dropped down a claw to pick up the cart,

Thomas and I latched it onto the train,

"VINCE CLIMB ON!"

"COME ON! HURRY!"

We all yelled at Vince as he jumped onto the ladder and stood beside all of us!

After the cart had left the ground and we were flying over the soldiers we all cheered and laughed at another successful rescue!

Minho had to be here!

Minho wasn't here...

Thomas and I walked through the aisle between all the chained kids,

Herriet who was behind us stopped a d hugged Aris and Sonia who were on the crate.

We finally reached the back,

"Hes not here..."

Thomas stated the obvious and I turned and left the train,
