"Yes, Hyunjae. I promise I will call you guys later when I go to sleep. Yes. You should get some rest, it's like 3 in the morning there. Mhm, okay. I'm getting out of my car now. Goodbye."
Sophie rolled her eyes with a laugh as she hung up her phone. She stepped out of her car and grabbed her cleaning supplies from the trunk and began walking up to the Moon household.
Just as she was approaching the door, Mr. and Mrs. Moon walked out of it. The three of them jumped slightly, a little startled, but Mr. and Mrs. Moon lit up at the sight of Sophie.
"Oh hi Sophie!" Mrs. Moon beamed. "I was just talking to Kevin about when you were coming! I was hoping we would run into you on our way out. I feel like I always miss you."
Sophie smiled. "I know, every time I come here you guys are out somewhere. It's a busy life."
"You have no idea," Mr. Moon said with a chuckle.
"We were wondering if you wanted to come to dinner with us tonight," Mrs. Moon proposed. "There are a few friends of ours that we would like you to meet. I know Kevin will be certainly excited to show you off as his date."
Sophie blushed slightly, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "I'd love to come," she said.
"Perfect," Mrs. Moon answered. "Do you think you could get ready after work and be back here by 7?"
"Yeah! No problem!"
Mrs. Moon grinned. "Amazing. Then we'll see you then. Oh, and one of Kevin's old friends is inside. She's one of my husband's contacts daughters, so we've known her since she was little. I'm sure you two will get along."
"Thank you," Sophie smiled. "I'll see you guys later."
"Bye Sophie," Mr. Moon spoke as the two left the porch. Sophie's heart was completely full as she stepped in the front door, placing her cleaning supplies down. She pulled on her gloves and carried her things into the kitchen.
Kevin and a girl were standing in the kitchen, talking and laughing amongst themselves. Kevin turned his head as Sophie walked in the room, smiling at her.
"Soph, hey," he greeted her. Sophie smiled and looked over at his friend. "Oh, right," Kevin spoke. "This is Lindsay. She's one of my older friends."
Lindsay turned her head to look at Sophie, faking a smile.
"Hey," Sophie greeted her. "I'm Sophie."
Lindsay just nodded before turning her attention back to Kevin. "Should we get out of your maid's way?" she asked. Kevin looked at her and then over at Sophie, who was looking back at him with raised eyebrows.
"Um, yeah, we can go hang out in the living room," Kevin said to Lindsay. Lindsay left the room and Kevin looked at Sophie once more before leaving the kitchen. Sophie licked her teeth with a scoff.
"Awesome," she muttered.

After a few hours of cleaning and avoiding Kevin, Sophie took her gloves off and packed up her things. She washed her hands in the kitchen sink and then headed to the front door, where Kevin was leaned against it, clearly waiting for her.
"Leaving without saying goodbye?" he asked in a charming way. Sophie's unamused expression gave him anxiety.
"Where's your rich friend?" she asked.
"Upstairs in my room. I told her I wanted to come see you before you left."
"Why? I'm just the maid you don't have to say goodbye to me when I leave," Sophie replied, clear anger in her tone. Kevin swallowed and took a step toward her.
"I'm sorry," he spoke in a low tone. "I shouldn't have let her treat you like that. I should have told her from the beginning that you are my girlfriend and told her to stuff it."
Sophie raised her eyebrows. "Mhm."
"But she knows now. She's not exactly fond of the fact that I'm dating you but I couldn't give two shits what she thinks if she doesn't like you."
Sophie didn't speak, just watched Kevin's expression as he lifted his hand to her cheek. "I'm really sorry," he apologized again.
"I know," she said. "I have to go, though. Your parents invited me to dinner tonight so I have to go get ready."
Kevin's face lit up. "They did?"
Sophie nodded with a smile.
"I knew they were talking about it but I wasn't sure if they were gonna invite you," Kevin said with a smile. He put his hands on her hips and looked down at her, biting his lip.
"Don't look at me like that," she said. "You're gonna make me act up."
Kevin raised his eyebrows. "I like the sound of that."
Sophie put her hands on Kevin's arms and blushed slightly. "I'll see you later," she said, leaning up to peck his lips before pulling away.
Kevin watched as she picked up her things again and looked over at him. He smiled and opened the door for her, admiring how beautiful she was.
"I'll see you later," he told her. She nodded and walked out the door, smiling back at him once before walking to her car.
